But thanks for the honesty. I moved my laptop from my office in the basement up to the kitchen for my first meeting with the partners in the firm I'm going to be working for. I though at least a first impression might be important to someone. My office (and I've posted pictures here before) is a bit of a dumping ground and houses my music collection. Giving them a clean, bright look at our beautiful, high ceiling, semi open concept home was a strategic thing on my part to provide a sense of professionalism. Now that I've met them all I may take a more relaxed tone and just clean up the crap behind me in  my office.

I teach music lessons one on one so the camera is usually fixed in one place for myself and the student.

For piano my camera is on the keyboard and can be swiveled up to show the sheet music too. The student's camera is on their hands.
For guitar both cameras are on each other's left hands.

In piano lessons I'm liable to be in pajamas and barefoot, for guitar I try to wear something nice, similar to what I would wear to a class.

Best thing about piano lessons is that I can eat and drink during class. Sometimes near the end of the day I might even have a drink with alcohol.

You have to edit the sound features on Zoom for music lessons, turning off filters and automatic volume adjusts etc.

I've stopped using the video for most of my meetings now, mainly since a colleague accidentally turned his on while walking round the room in his boxers.
