2012 Swans - The Seer (it annoys me somewhat to have three Swans albums in this list but the toughest competition is 2012 and The Seer is the best of the bunch, so this is how it is. Substitute nomination for Kong - Merchants of Air)

2014 Swans - To Be Kind
2015 William D. Drake - Revere Reach
2016 iamthemorning - Lighthouse (tied with a.P.a.t.T. - Fun With Music, and assuming that Bowie - Blackstar doesn't count as prog, which otherwise I couldn't not vote for)
2017 Art Zoyd _ Phase V
2018 Sonar and David Torn - Vortex
(2019 Swans - leaving meaning)
(2020 Zopp - Zopp)
(2021 Battlestations - Splinters Vol. I: Tremor)

I tend to explore music with some delay, so chances are there's much at least from 2019 onwards that I don't know and could still win its year. While I could see leaving meaning and Splinters as final year winners, the Zopp album, while solid and enjoyable, is still looking for replacement. Not exactly year winner material I'm afraid. The non-prog Stephen Fellows - Slow Glass would be a better bet as best album of the year but doesn't count here.
