Any fans of this borderline prog band from Norway.Early 70s.

They managed to be a cross of Santana/Tull/Beatles/Procol Harum and others.

Put out several albums. Were big in France and Africa(true) according to liner notes in their cds.

I've got all of their 4 albums. The first is some what lacking in true identity; One song sounds like the Beatles another one like Santana,Procol Harum,Deep Purple and so on.One their second effort they start to focus a lot more, mixing all those influences into one big melting pot.fusing grinding hammond, agressive guitars and percussion, they even have a mellotron.Eagle Rock is the title of that album, sounds like a heavier Santana.Their third retain the same formula but their last was a bit more commercial, boogie hard rock a la Guess who.

I liked them a lot. Their single "Sing fool sing" was a great heavy rocker, which failed to chart. They fliped it over though, and the B side "Sultana" a Booker T and the MG's like organ solo was hugley successful.

Their albums were quite diverse, but the driving Hammond organ was nevr far away. My favourite track by them was "Underdog" which featured on the CBS sampler "The music people".

Not currently on the site though, so thread moved to "Non-prog".
