For me, The Hobbit was OK but Prometheus was awe-inspiring.

Neither. Prometheus took sci-fi and horror to a place the genres should never go: boredom. And The Hobbit was a stellar example of painfully stretching a short, straightforward tale into a painfully overlong trilogy simply to milk a franchise. In fact, I wrote a review at the time of the film's release entitled...

Given the freedom of the 'prefer' qualifier, I'll go with Bilbo Baggins of Bag End in Hobbiton.

The Hobbit trilogy was too long, veered totally from the charming book, had dodgy CGI and I never warmed to Freemans Bilbo. However even with its faults it's better than Prometheus.

I guess I'm one of the few people here that actually liked Prometheus.
