The classic from 1951 staring Alistair Sim as Scrooge, this despite its preaching, is my all time favorite holiday movie. The acting by all is phenomenal and still holds up today.

Love it, just bought the bluray.   I've seen most versions but this really is the best (followed by Albert Finney in Scrooge).   I usually watch the B&W version but the color also looks good.

No doubt the "A Christmas Carol" (1951) is the 'gold standard' for this movie.  But I really like the 1938 version a lot.

Alistair Sim is the quintessential Scrooge.

I also like the Scott and Stewart versions....
