The biggest event in american sport year, one which makes the traffic stop and burst to the self esteem.

Vs 

A downhill event with as many names as its reputation allows, Kitzbuhl - die Hahnenkamm - di Streif, the most dangerous single event in sport is the downhill competition in this austrian skii knightmare, yet it is also so entertaining.

Kitzbuhl is to europeans what super bowl is to americans , that one year event that makes history

Never heard of Hahnenkaam before. That seems much more interesting than football though.

it is the buzz and exicietment of the event that i draw comparison with, the aspect of glued to the TV. It is the highlight of winter sport, the most extreme alpine skii course in the world cup. The mythos and respect towards Kitzbühl is overwhelming. The champions leage final is perhaps bigger and more international. I would say both events are as anticipated, Perhaps Champions League is slightly more but Hahnenkamm is a close runner up.

Neither regularly.   I don't enjoy American, or Canadian, football, and have never played it. At my school it was rugby, and I did that (was never on the school team, but got to play with them).

I do love skiing, but I had a pretty bad accident when I was in downhill racing, which makes me a little nervous watching such things.   If the the Streif event was on, I would watch it (have seen it before on TV).

One of these days some of the American business folks will realize how much money is in that Champions League thing, and on that day, the Super Bowl will become secondary ... except when the American media makes it such a big whopeeedoo about nothing ... and again ... (and still, just like the Europeans!) ... cheating and stealing bits and pieces of the game so that the "establishment" always wins.

I stopped watching both 10 years ago ... it became a commercial bruhaha ... and the game was secondary to the advertisements!
