The Astral Platypus is a parody prog band formed by members of many prog rock bands from Argentina. The band "has been releasing albums since the '60, each following the sound of it's era", accompanied by a miniseries telling the story of the band.

The latest episode, along with the "1971" album that parodies Close to the Edge, Tarkus and Foxtrot, was released last week:

Listening just now. It's a great project and deserves an entry in the database, IMO. Despite being a parody band. Tha band is a parody but composing and playing are real.
