Octopus for me, but that's because that was my first GG and I have very nice memories associated with it. It's hard for me to tell which one is superior musically.

- Octopus (10/10)
- In a Glass House (9.5/10)
But sice I love them both, I'll give Octopus 10 votes and Glass House 9 votes!

In A Glass House
I think GG were better after Phil Shulman's departure (as Kerry Minnear got the opportunity to contribute more to the band).

My fav song from In A Glass House is the title track.
What's your fav one from your fav album?

Octopus is in my opinion, the most consistent of the two records, but the highlights of IAGH ("Runaway", "Experience" and the title track) are so transcendentally beautiful they greatly outweigh the more inferior tracks ("Way of Life").
The most resonant of all the albums: the closing track really takes me on a vivid trip which is something little else of Giant's music manages- not that there's anything worng with that!
Definitely the most symphonic album, as well; if only more Gentle Giant albums had this sound!! Overall not liked by the band itself, I understand, except for Kerry (he's a right smart lad, then!)

Cheers!

Could you make this any harder?.
This is like choosing between CTTE and Relayer, Foxtrot and SEBTP, Animals and WYWH.
I can't do it.

I admit it,
It's not easy to chose between these two MASTERPIECES!
There's also parity in the voters' opinion!
