End of Internet neutrality in the USA

I woke up this morning only to find sites like ProgArchives no longer appears on my screen. Apparently we now must subscribe to expand our bandwidth while Disney and other corporations sit and wait while smaller sites crash and burn so they can gobble up the new turf.

I was wondering how this is going to play out and this indeed is an ominous sign of things to come. Anyone here familiar with this issue and where it's likely heading?

As for now I can only visit sites like this on my phone and that's a major pain

Yes, I would definitely recommend that. I post mine on rate your music as well and that site seems unaffected. What this means is that we'll have to pay extra for bandwidth but I fear where this is heading

Are you implying that PA somehow requires more bandwidth than RYM or that your ISP is intentionally blocking PA while allowing RYM?

Apparently so. It seems to be at the whim of the provider but since I have at&t it seems that this is an eerie omen portending the future

If the ISPs were to limit access to anything, it would be in their interest to limit access to services that cost a lot of bandwidth to them and that people would actually be willing to pay extra for. That would be something like Netflix or Youtube, not some relatively obscure music forum that's mostly just text.

Apparently big companies have to pay for access therefore only highly profitable sites can afford to remain in existence. This is a deregulation in process and at the moment I can access only the largest sites without paying for an upgrade.

Net Neutrality was established in 2015 and abolished in 2017.   Internet going back to 2015 regulation.  

LOL. What a strange day. WHen i woke up and this happened i convinced myself that a fascist dictatorship has ruined our country and the internet being censored was a the first sign. Turns out the main tenant of the building just didn't pay the bill on time and that they don't switch off the whole thing but selective sites. I still don't understand why but OMG i can visit sites like PA again! OK, i'm an addict and an idiot!

Well there's been a lot of irrational bollocks about net neutrality being produced on especially Reddit and Youtube, I'm not saying it's good but it's probably no worse than the entire debate being nigh impossible on the internet right now, even Anthony Fantano's video about it was sort of sloppy...
