I've been a Trekker since the show first aired in 1966. It was just me and another guy in my 4th grade class that were into it while the other guys were into Lost In Space, which believe it or not had higher ratings than ST. Well after 10 years since it's cancellation of negotiations and false starts, it came back on the big screen. Looks like now it's finally played it's course. Even I'm a little tired of it now. But it did come up some with great episodes along with some pretty bad ones as well.
My vote goes to Wrath Of Khan with Undiscovered Country 2nd and First Contact 3rd. Hey, you got to give The Next Generation some pat on the back! |

I haven't watched those for some time, but it's fun to watch the old crew adventure with new uniform's and cooler spaceships! The original series had better stories, but there's funny camp value inlcuded in the movies, if you can enjoy such. I'm not so exited about the next generation stuff, though Patrick Stewart makes a good captain. I voted for "Wrath" episode. |

Got em all at home, and actually have the same top 3 as mark, but different order ... Undiscovered Country is top for me, Wrath Of Khan second and First Contact third ... and I must say that the first one (remember V'ger?) is one of the worst movies I've ever sat through ... As I've said a couple of times, I'm a real ST nut too, watched every epicode of DS9, Voyager and (even though it sometimes hurt) Enterprise, all but two or three of TNG, but only half of the original series .... DS9 is my favourite series, with TNG second and the others quite a way off ... |

Have been a Trekker since the first airing of ST in 1966. I was mad about Spock I voted for "First Contact" - just blew me away with a great story line,SFX and some great acting. Patrick Stewart was the best Captain IMO. "Nemesis" and "Wrath" are my other top picks. The worst films IMO: "ST: The Motion Picture" - so incredibly boring and "Insurrection" - just very disappointing all around. Favourite series: Deep Space Nine and the original Star Trek series. Star Trek 4 for me a terrific balance of sci-fi and humour. "First contact" was excellent too. |

First Contact for me.And am I the only person that like Voyager? That was a cool show,so different from the others.Janeway was a great Capt and I just liked the fact that they were far from home and alone and had to depend on themselves.

Nothing beats First Contact, it is the ultimate experience With dreaded the Borg. Nemesis is second best while from The original movies The wrath of Khan is the best. |

Best three are Wrath Of Khan, Voyage Home & First Contact.
And I'll go for Wrath of Khan. I admit to being a true geek, I love all Star Trek, they should never of counciled Enterprise even if it was a bit iffy, Scott Bukula was alright though. Now I have to get my Trek fix here http://www.newvoyages.com/ |

I like the theme of the first movie, the story of V'ger, etc, etc but the movie itself has dull moments. So my vote goes to IV: The Voyage Home - the scene at the hospital with the Doc 'Bones' complaining about present invasive medicine is funny and also sad (I always say that Medicine will leave the Middle Age the day an invasive surgery shall be the last option not the first).

Wrath of Kahn gets it for me with First Contact and Nemesis not far behind Voyager was the best series as the stories were more creative I felt. I here there working on a new ST film with the working title Beginnings () set between enterprise and the first series chronologicly. God knows why |

I definately vote for the Undiscovered Country. The final movie with the original cast, and they made it important. The storyline is among the most epic in the Star Trek movies, and Christopher Plummer was excellent as General Chang. It's kind of odd to see the father from The Sound of the Music playing a Klingon warrior. The runner-up would definately be The Wrath of Khan, William Shatner definately put in a great performance in this one. The Search For Spock was interesting. It's a much different mood from all the other films. Shatner definately put in his best performance here. The special effects looked cheesier than the other ones, but I don't really know why. |

Christopher Plummer was no less than brilliant in that role, "Don't wait for the translation, answer me now!!" What a delivery! Since seeing that, I've always made a policy not to mess with anybody who has an eyepatch riveted to his skull! As for Search For Spock, yeah the effects were pretty cheesey except for the destruction of the Enterprise. They really gave her a spectacular death scene. |

As much as I loved first contact, it over did the borg a bit too much. nd why the borg not just send 2 Borg cubes? Well, whatever. Still a great movie. I have to go with the Wrath of Kahn, beautiful movie, and storyline. (However, the orignal series episode of kahn SUCKED!)

Believe it or not, the original intention for the 2nd film was to have a story involving Harry Mudd. But the actor Roger Carmel who played him twice in the series died. So they scrapped the idea and went with Khan instead. |

I've only seen First Contact of the NextGen films, but with that in mind.....
.......most of the OS films are pretty decent, including the first one, which is inexplicably much criticised.........until you get to V:The Final Frontier (Shatner: "Me! Me! I want a go!! Please let me direct one, ah, cmon, it's my turn.......") which is utter crap........and Generations.........ditto.......but the whole arc of II, III & IV make up a very watchable series........

The first one was a bit weak in the plot department, but was a special effects extravaganza. These guys were probably pumped about finally having a budget to make it look good, they forgot about the script. "Kahn" is about the only one that really stands on its own. You don't have to be a Trek fan to like this one. The only real problem is Kirstie Alley as a Vulcan. They seem to have a very hard time casting female Vulcans (Kim Cattral?). "Search for Spock" was a letdown. "IV" was a light, and loveable save the whales movie. "IV" was really bad. It was way past time for them to hang it up. "Undiscovered Country" was surprisingly better than the last one, but still not that good. (Christopher Plummer quoting Shakespeare. Where did they get that idea? Oh, yeah, from Khan! When he quotes "Moby Dick!") I thought "Generations" was enjoyable, and allowed them to make the transition. "First Contact" was a lot better (The Borg usually make for good trek). "Insuurection" was nothing more than an episode that was never shot. "Nemesis" just confused me. I'm not really sure where that idea came from (Remus? A Picard clone? Kill Data?)

I thought Nemesis was the best Next Generation film. The action is without a doubt the best in it's class, and it was great to finally finally see the Romulans make an appearance in one of the films. I was absolutely thrilled when I went to theaters and saw that the Romulans were heavily involved in the film.
