Wow. Did not expect this at all. Guess this means a bit of a rewrite is in order for Star Wars 8 and 9...

A most foul and wretched year 2016 is. It is like a true dark force out there destroying some of my more pleasant memories of youth.
RIP Princess

I thought the same thing...and any other year the stable condition would have been positive. But 2016 has been a mean, nasty mother fokker...

Yeah, that was creepy....but not as bad as CGI Tarkin creepy (he looked like something out of a Harry Potter movie), and he had several scenes, not the few seconds that fake Leia had!

Tarkin was already creepy in the original movie I think it was impressive, the level of detail, the lighting. The movement could be more subtle though.

Yeah, but at least it was REAL creepy! Probably over the next few years they'll start perfecting that kind of technology, Samuel. I remember seeing the young Michael Douglas at the start of `Ant-Man', and that looked pretty impressive, but at the same time that was the real actor and they touched his appearance up in post-production afterwards. Pretty sure the Tarkin actor Peter Cushing has been gone for at least twenty years at this point? Apparently Carrie completed all her scenes for next years SW Ep 8, but I wonder what route they'll choose to take for the eventual ep 9, no idea if it's even started being written yet. Still, I'm looking forward to an eventual movie that replaces modern tubby Steven Seagal with vintage circa 1991 lean and slim Steven Seagal!

I liked it too, it was pretty well done for CGI. Though I also think a real actor would've worked fine, even the young actor they got for Tarkin in Episode lll made to look older would've been good. Rogue One is a triumph compared to FA. It's, oh I don't know, a real Star Wars story - -

Am I the only one who remembers her for being the "evil ex-girlfriend" in the Blues Brothers?
