All of these things are actualy a huge part of my childhood, youth and adulthood, as they steadly made more cool and facinating franchizes for me to dig my nerd teeth into. With siezure indusing colours, cool and powerfull pantheons, larger then life protagonist, and even larger then larger then life and death atagonists.
my youth is basicly in part shaped by Pokèmon, it was my life and was something i thrived with - but i was also entertained by the entire first three seasons of Digimon, and the first three seasons of Bayblade. YuGiOh is a unique show, with interesting mythos and facinating development until it become to sucked up into its own conept, and lost its enjoyments and mystery. Dual Masters is among the funniest shows ive seen with a very intriguing world building. I have not cared for Dragon Ball nor Naruto, though Naruto seems more enjoyable then Dragon Ball, which is plane embarresing Monster Rancher is thee most unique game-play every conceived and is a masterfull concept. Which one do you fancy, or have any experience with I alow multiple votes Edited by Icarium - July 16 2016 at 05:42 |

Actually my favorite card game as a kid was Magi-Nation. Sadly it kinda died but me and my brothers still have all of our cards to remember it by. Other than that, I played some Pokemon and YuGiOh but was never that into them. I only played them/ watched them because some of my friends liked them.

I've been fan of the Pokémon franchise until now, but i only enjoy classic games (Gen I (Kanto) to Gen III (Hoenn) and PTCG, i don't care about the animated series as i did when i was a child.
They're many others animated series that i like from your list: Dragon Ball/Z/GT - Naruto - Digimon - Yu-Gi-Oh! and Beyblade.

what i feel is a let-down in the Pokemon series is the complete lack of development in Ash, and hes bit to overly stupid and ignorant to be believable, i like Misty and Brock more.

I watched Dragon Ball/Z when I was 5/6 years old and I already thought it was very slow paced and with lots of filler. I won't even bother watching now. Monster Rancher appeared as fast as it disappeared, it didn't make any impact at all. Easy vote for Digimon, I watched the first five seasons (and now the sequel of the first one), it's a great part of my chidhood and still fun to watch nowadays. The videogames I played are easily worse than the Pokemon ones and the second half of the second and fourth season are as good as the Pokemon series I never watched any of the others.

Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh! were the main ones, although Beyblade (the actual spelling LOL, grammar nazi coming in) and Digimon (especially Frontier) got a kick in me, but of course not as much.

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were both huge parts of my childhood, I'd say Pokemon was the one I loved most. I still occasionally play the card games, and I prefer the Yu-Gi-Oh card game to Pokemon. There's more strategy involved in Yu-Gi-Oh.

I still enjoy grinding Pokemon games via emulator on my computer so it gets my vote.
Never really watched the show but bayblade toys were great before they were banned from school. I had a couple of the weight discs with flint on them so they sparked when they collided. Honourable mention to Naruto because while I've never seen a single episode of it or played a Naruto game or anything, a friend got me into a parody of it on YouTube ('Naruto Abridged') so technically I've spent hours watching it.
