Topic: How many (prog) albums per month? Posted: August 25 2005 at 09:39 |
How many albums do you buy each month? Calculate it using this formula:
N / ( (A - X) * 12)
N = Number of albums in your collection. A = Your age. X = The age up to which you didn't buy albums.
Example for me:
550 / ( (30 - 10) * 12) = 2.3

A Month I would get 2 prog albums. I would also get 2 other genres such as Rock.

Lets see... I'm only 18 and I started buying music about 7 years
ago but only fairly consistently about 5 years ago.
during that time (last 5 years): 350/(5 * 12)=6 per month.
Over the last year: 100/12=8 per month.
Over the past two months: 34/2=17 per month!
That's because of prog.
Now, if I were to average the total # of cds in my collection (not
just ones I bought) the numbers would be higher, but almost all
those albums are not prog.
