One of my favourite bands! I love them. Quadrophenia and Tommy are  my favourite  two albums by them. Get Tommy. It's even better than Quadrophenia in my opinion!

I am very fond of  The Who ... Quadrophenia is a rock opera classic with some prog elements for sure .... ... but probably more all-out rock than Prog?
I was never really sure what I was waiting for. When the moment came I was looking away ......

Great Band.  My  favorite's are "Who's Next", "Quadrophenia", and "Tommy".  One of the best hard rock bands I've heard (with some definite progressive influences).  My favorite song of theirs is "The Song is Over", and "Behind Blue Eyes".

I think it is remnicient of the emptiness and loneliness of Jimmy from Quadrophenia.

I like their material from 65-70, mostly lives, radio and tv performances caught their spontaneousness and agression. I have heard their recent live sets are also good, live8 I saw and liked.

If you ask me, I can't really call them The Who nowadays. To me The Who ended the day Entwistle died (in July 2002). Keith Moon's death effected their image (ironically, Keith's ex-wife married their next drummer, who was in the Small Faces), but they still had a few albums in them. Now it really is Townshend, Daltrey, and Friends performs the songs of the Who. Not saying it is bad, Pete and Roger have become better musicians over the years, but they don't have that aggression that they did in the Tommy days. Live8 was also great for them, as was Live Aid.

Quadrophenia is a great album, but for me Who's Next is their best. Baba O'Reilly, Bargain, Behind Blue Eyes and Won't Get Fooled Again all on one album. What more can you say?

Oh wow.  Even before I get here, someone has my icon.

Well, let's just say Quadrophenia is my favorite album and leave it at that.

I love The Who, Live at Leeds is one of the best live albums ever.

The Who are fantastic

Roger Daltrey - Great, soulful singer
Peter Townshend - Amazing guitarist
Keith Moon - Mad & hilarious drummer
John Entwistle - Quite the uberbassist!

Who's Next & Tommy....Masterpieces
And Jesus said unto John, "come forth and receive eternal life..."
Unfortunately, John came fifth and was stuck with a toaster.
