The Beetles never quite invented the microwave, but "I Am The Walrus" is clearly John recounting a dream of his where he saw the microwave, standing on his bandmates' shoulders.
But, more importantly, Ringo's literally blistering drumming on "Helter Skelter" influenced Hibachi in a big way. There would be no Benihana's without The Ringo Kid.

Seriously....? This is what happens when someone retires and has far too much time on their hands.

What they did led to the Yellow Submarine Coffee Mug and other microwave safe memorabilia. I looked at the lyrics for Watching Rainbows and there seems to nothing in the lyric that suggested they went beyond the spectrum of visible wavelengths. Frank Zappa on the other hand did have an official patent out on a method for achieving 3D Television. There wasn't really enough computing power for it when he was alive. I wonder how it would fare now, or if the patent has expired yet or not.

Paul just took credit for it.

The Beetles invented gothic architecture with several songs from The Whiter Album. Paul keeps clamouring about Robert Smith owing him back rent.

Please excuse my nerding out. Disregarding the 'just for fun' nature of this post I voted for Ringo's drumming, 'cause it certainly was inventive. I drummed along to Abbey Road today, and though he was by no means a technically proficient drummer, he excelled in a uniquely compositional and minimalist approach (kind of a counterpart to fellow innovator Keith Moon's compositional and incredibly busy approach) that had never been, to my knowledge, attempted in rock music before and certainly influenced generations, including myself.

The Beatles invented light freeze washes, big bucket manifolds, and gnome flour.
