Styx, Yes, Uriah Heep, Kansas, Magma.      ....so I guess I'll vote for Yes.

Gentle Giant, hands down. Just listen to "Knots" or "On Reflection".

Gentle Giant has amazing vocal harmony, they definately win.

Well, out of those Gentle Giant, but Harmonium's vocal harmonies are even better

Uriah Heep have some of the best I've ever heard- listen to 'Shadows And The Wind' which is dizzyingly complex- but of those there, it has to be Queen.

Spock's Beard, oh man, Neal Morse and co. can really do it

Also, honorary mentions to Yes, Gentle Giant and Blind Guardian.

The reason why Gentle Giant get my vote: They sing these complex harmonies live too, and to top this they all play an instrument while doing so, but with their instruments they don't accompany their own singing, but the singing of someone else in the band! A good example for that is the live version of "On Reflection".

I would have voted for Echolyn if they were a choice but I voted for Queen (We will, we will prog you!). The things I know from GG are quite brilliant but I heard not enough of them yet to cast an honest voice in their favor.

I chose those 3 bands because they were ahead of everyone else with the eccentric vocal harmonies. At least, to my knowledge. I liked the Beatles'  and Crosby, Stills and Nash's harmonies, but they weren't as adventurous.

Gentle Giant are superior to even Queen because I don't believe they even used vocal dubbing. They actually performed those harmonies live.

Peace & take care

The Giant, of course.

Spock's Beard should be in this poll, too.
