As i am going soon to Virgin megastore tell me about The lady raw album, is it with those horrible fast paced drums or is it more Scorpions-like??

You sir, need to watch more Monty Python.

Hmm... Better Than Raw... might not be your thing. There's some really heavy stuff on there and some better proggish stuff on there like the 8-minute Revelation. Check out the music videos for I Can and Hey Lord on youtube before you buy it. Very melodic and quite heavy, but if you like Maiden then you might be into it. There's no terrible Stratovarius drumming, though

Thanks, Mike...just listened.Raw......not ScorpionsLOL which is my idea of Heavy MetalLOL

a big disapointment here.:...i haven't gotten yet my 2 Bossa CDS with the pretty covers...only bills in my mailboxLOL...you will have to wait for Monday now to see the picsLOLWink..hopefully!

You should try Helloween's earlier stuff, it has more in kin with Iron Maiden and Scorpions. Check out songs like "I Want Out" or "Halloween" if you can find the 13-minute long version. the 5 minute version isn't bad as well

I know. I know.  It is on "The List", highlighted and double underscored.  I've just been looking in all the wrong places.  I'll have to take Mike's advise and check with this Wendy woman.  And if she is in to prog I'll have to see where else that might go. Wink

nah...Lande was in Ark some time before he formed Masterplan.  He did 2 prog metal albums with Ark, then one with Beyond Twlight, before he turned his back on the genre, and started turning out more mainstream material with Masterplan, Allen/Lande & Jorn (among others)...personally, I only have his 3 prog ones...Wink

Looks like I need to seek out some Ark then.

I like the Masterplan albums, but mostly as a Helloween completionist
