LOL Keep at it, and the success will expand to your life (but I'm still waiting too haha).  It's interesting to hear  about the different listening styles of reviewers.  Sometimes I don't even spin an album until after I"ve had it a month, the mood's gotta be right.

I know. Under Wraps (JT) is an excellent example of that type of disaster.

Have you sent any of the eval-bands to other teams yet?

That is the issue I'm trying to figure out.  Three of them disappeard from the list at RatingFreak, so I figure Micky took care of them...either gave 'em the boot or sent to other teams.

yes.. I was playing with that.. and moved them to 'undecided'.. but what I didn't know was that removed them from the list alltogether..   they were moved back to 'discuss' and I won't use the 'undecided' tag  again.

Ryan, what happened to the other 3 bands that vanished from Ratingfreak?  There were 7, now 4.

Thanks!
Are they similar to Arbeit Macht Frei? In that case I'll be getting them quite soon.

not really... the move into some some 'avant' territory in their next albums.. still great... but you don't a have a group making a career of one album and a particular sound or style.. that is what makes them so great. and again why Area is mislabelled as J-R Angry.. but I digress LOL  The next one.. Caution Radiation Area...  simply fabulous.  LOVE that album. Of course I haven't reviewed it...  pretty much given up on reviews LOL but here is one from our brother...

3%20stars This album is something very strange. Area is an excellent italian band , which released in 1974 this album called Caution! Radiation Area, the name is also strange, but it invited me to buy it. I have listened so many times, and each time i discover something new, i mean, one new sound , an strange thing i dont know, and thats great i like that kind of albums which every time we listen to it we find something new.

I have to say that this albums is really strange, the songs, or the "songs" are weird, with some jazzy passages, because it is a fusion band, but the most of the album sounds like an improvisation, with nuclear and radiation sounds, or at least i imagine that, it is extravagant, and careful because it is not everybody´s cup of tea, its difficult to understand and maybe you can find it ridiculous in some ways, i think in 1974 this was completely a different album, and maybe it is one of that strange albums which could be great and beautiful, or strange and horrible.

It has some energic moments, it is very experimental, the music as i said above is strange, but very well done, the musicians are great, the voice here is not the great point of the album, i like Stratos´voice, but in this case his voice is not the best of the album. I like listen to it, for me its good, i enjoy it, but is not an everyday album, sometimes is good to listen to it. Strange, weird, great, well... after all 3.5 stars.... 3 stars

It really doesn't matter if the next album is anything like AFM. It got me so curious about the band I'm likely to try anything you throw at me...Wink

I'm a big believer in chronological explorations... I love to hear the progression.. the changes from album to album..  but Guillermo is right.. it is not an easy listen... but it is a rewarding one.  As prog ... good prog... should be.

It's not hard to review, but it's definitely hard to review in detail, trying to catch all the aspects of the album. But then that's also part of the fun. Expressing feelings with words are always a nasty challenge Smile

Are all the bands in the current list eval'd as of now?
