I know.  It is smack dab in the middle of tax season, when I am working 80 - 100 hours per week.  No chance in hell that I'll be able to take off for a weekend at that time.

I know, Scott... that was really regrettable...Disapprove

Did it make you want to go out and get Anoraknophobia?

I have a young friend with an extensive Marillion collection, from which to 'borrow' from...although, I NEVER burn the CDs.  Rachel would have my guts for garters...LOL

It sounds like it was a good show.  I would have loved to have been there.

It must be hard being a Neo Prog officionado, living in America...I deeply sympathise.  All I can say is that in all probability, I'll never get to see Tiles, Enchant or a host of smaller US based Prog Metal bands...Cry

I lived through the 80's and 90's without even knowing that neo-prog existed.  I didn't even know I was missing what I was missing.

^^^well, all I can say is that you're going to have to seriously consider coming over to the UK for 2/3 weeks holiday, around gig time, Scott... I'm sure I can find you a spare room to sleep in for a couple of nights...Wink

First Antoine and now Jared.  It is a conspiracy to get me out of the country so they don't have to let me back in. LOL  I was joking with Antoine about not wanting to cross the border into Canada, which is only an hour away, because I figure that they won't let me back in to the US of A once they get me to leave.  Although, I am pretty certain that Canada would work pretty hard to make certain that they didn't have to keep me either.

If I were to make it to the UK though, it would be good to have someone there that could translate British English into American English for me. Wink

I think my mate Mark went to this gig... I know he saw Marillion over the weekend.  He also saw Opeth recently too.

Do you know where else Marillion were playing?

Got things working for the most part, small little nagging things still exist but for the most part the gear is operating properly.  Now it's documentation time (which means it's prog time Big smile).

I am in an annoyingly fidgety mood.  Tiredness is hitting me and I have barely achieved things today.

Although I have achieved more than I usually do.

But I still feel unaccomplished, even after solving a major genealogical problem yesterday.  I just cannot get excited about much in my life any more.

I played MDK and Elton Dean's Ninesense earlier and although both were fantastic, I still feel empty.

I have also discovered I have 85 Gb left.  Although that sounds like plenty, it does not to me feel like plenty.

So I think I may invest in an external drive (say 500 Gb) and transfer my music, photos and installation files over to it.

That may clear 20 or so gig at least.

Pfeh. I have about 30 gig total anyway. Maybe 1 gig left... can't actually fit the music on the C: drive.

I have 50 GB of mp3, and prob. 100 GB of FLAC (much redundancy there, but I want my CDs stored in a lossless format).  This is for about 600 albums, I think.

I ideally want a 1 Tb external drive but I also want the portability and the LaCie Rugged is what my brother has and it's very lovely, even if it is orange.  The largest size it comes in is 500 Gb though.

They actually make a 2 Tb external drive but it's not quite so portable.

Hmm... decisions.

What would you get, Patrick?

or

or even

Ooooh, all are very lovely.

My brother has one though and it's excellent for what I need it for.  The other two are better for desktop machines and I use a laptop... which occasionally does move to a different place.

The thing is, I could do with that extra 500 Gb... but ah well.
