Anything worthy of RPI inclusion? I'll check out the last two later tonight. Lingalad and those refused by the Canterbury gang, whatever the name was...

that only one I heard was Alex Carpani  ..the only one rejected is  Lingalad.. the others appear to be heading to other subs for eval.  Carpani though.. is on hold .. though I may just add anyway.. and when all the votes are in.. if it is decided our sub isn't the place.. we'll toss to the sub the team thinks best.. already added.  If they take it great.. if not.. we will as fallback... all that matters is prog or not.. the rest is simply best fit.

My guess is that Carpani's album would fit under ISP, even though none of us have heard it...close enough though (heard one track, read a few reviews)

It's almost boring. It feels bad to say "I liked it all", but on the other hand they're all recommendations.

Ah, you know...it's that identity thing..."I understand why other people like it, but it's not for ME". Integrity issues LOL

Listening to Corte Aulica now. Another strange brew. The keys (nice piano!) are often a little Le Orme-ish, and so are some of the themes. Canterbury-esque rhythm section, but only now and then. A flair for the dramatic and guitars that fit much some of the RPI-form when they're not metaling out.

....moving on with the next song Wink
....moving on with the third

*stretches fingers*

Nope, I don't think it's enough of the RPI elements to be honest. The other stuff weighs too heavy here. As it's already been stated, a strange easy-listening symph character à la Camel/touch of Genesis permeates it all, without the earthbound drama and flair I'm looking for. As with Carpani, there's a lot of regular symph in it, but at least he had a lot more RPI in him, and his themes had that elusive RPI touch more often than this.

For all that it's worth, that's my two cents. Smile

^ hahaha, you're just trying to prove that you're not the biggest prima donna; now you're the tough guyCool

I'm winding down with Corte Aulica, this is another close one; I'll concede to you and Jim if necessary...gonna go with an affirmative for ISP at the moment, I don't know if anyone else will want these guys.  We can do the same as with Carpani, just add 'em here for now (but I do think they may be a better fit than he).

LOL And I'll represent the sheep.  you're keeping the vote interesting, and it IS a close call...we wouldn't be doing it justice if it was a clean-sweep.
