I realize after looking at the top 20 crossover albums that I've only heard 2 of them, plus a few songs from OK Computer.  Didn't like what I heard of Radiohead much at all, thought Days of Future Passed was relatively mediocre, and not a big fan of Crime of the Century.

Methinks you should listen to some Oldfield.

I did earlier, he plays on the Kevin Ayers album Shooting at the Moon.  Plus, when I listen to Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom I hear some Oldfield.

Oh, you mean his solo material? Tongue

Oldfield is definitely a good choice. Especially Ommadawn and Amarok.

I just mentioned Buckethead in the Eclectic thread. I couldn't find any previous mention of him in there and he isn't on PF's Eclectic charts, so maybe that will go somewhere.

Hmm, the version of Fitter Stoke Has a Bath included as a bonus track on HatN's debut is different than the one on The Rotters' Club.  I like the one on Rotters' Club more.

Yes, I was DT-PT. And I would've put a space, but I maxed the characters. Oh well, I like this one.

Who who, who who?

DT-PT I believe.

Hi Pat!  You're a Canterbury expert...what are some good obscure gems to seek out similar to Hatfield and the North, National Health, Caravan and/or Gong (circa the RGI trilogy)? Tongue

Awesome, thanks.  All bands I've heard of but not yet checked out.  Tongue  Have you listened to the Antique Seeking Nuns releases?  I've thought about checking them out as well.

Oh well, when you're all about RIO next year you would have regretted DT-PT anyway.  :p
