Overhead's new double album Telepathic Minds is their magnum opus. Available as a Double CD digipack, a gatefold Double Vinyl LP and digital download & streaming. Telepathic Minds is musically Overhead's strongest album so far, featuring progressive and aural landscapes and long epic tracks with strong melodies, groovy riffs and catchy choruses. Maya Shakti 09:13 2. Prema 07:55 3. Mukti 06:43 4. Avatara 09:37 5. Pralaya 06:57 6. Ananda 08:17 About this album Physical editions available here: lnk.to/MSK-Atma/napalmrecords   As many artists have experienced, the past two years hit the entire music and culture industry hard. But MY SLEEPING KARMA – they have truly faced the abyss. Formed almost 20 years ago as a strong bond of best friends with a steady line-up ever since, the band has amassed an incredibly successful back catalogue of five highly acclaimed records and a live album in 2017, as well as extensive touring performances at sold-out venues and prestigious festivals that have marked them as one of the most well-respected instrumental post- and hypnotic rock bands within the heavy music community. Closing a seven-year gap since their latest studio album, Moksha, MY SLEEPING KARMA will release their most emotional, deepest, darkest record to date, inspired by tragic events, on July 29, 2022. The new album, Atma – the logical successor to Moksha – describes the (absolute) self, the indestructible, eternal essence of the spirit, and is often translated as the "soul". Sickness, death, and existential fear had brought the band to a point in music and life at which they were close to parting ways. But their will to survive has been recorded on Atma, a record the band wasn’t even sure would see the light of day when they started working on it back in 2017, and if it did, would’ve never been for industry sales, fame or success. Most of the six album tracks near the 10-minute mark and shine in distinctive MY SLEEPING KARMA fashion – from crystal clear, otherworldly intros bursting into bittersweet melodies of vulnerable beauty to imposing soundspheres of mesmerizing heaviness with entrancing undercurrents. Tracks such as lead single 'Prema' surprise with a wide sound spectrum ranging between hard-hitting rock moments, ambient vibes and synth post-rock grandeur that bridge majestic texture and fast-paced dynamics. On songs like 'Mukti', its immediately evident that Atma isn’t just another new MY SLEEPING KARMA record – it’s an infinite darkness, despair and sadness that furiously drives the German four-piece on studio album number six. Atma tells the story of their lives, processing the trauma of the personal tragedies, deepest pain and fear of four best friends that have been going through their darkest days since their band existence. As Dave Wyndorf once said, MY SLEEPING KARMA is art – their new, cathartic record not only captures the zeitgeist of the times, but leaves a little light for hope, love, beauty and strength amid all the ugly facets of our vulnerable lives.

Absolutely awesome band imho

Øresund Space Collective:
We are a music collective from Denmark and Sweden that play totally improvised space rock music. We have released 29 records since 2006. Music for your mind to escape the Matrix...
Oily Echoes of the Soul:
This is the bands 27th (?) studio album release and 38th physical release. The material on this record was recorded in October 2010 on the 2nd day of recording and featured a lot of different musicians from Days 1 and 3. Some of the material from this session was previously released on a bandcamp subscriber LP. The main track on that album, Crusin´with the Alien Crew, appears as a bonus track on the CD version as well as one additional bonus track not on the LP (*). Some of the tracks have been edited for the vinyl edition which will come out later in the year. A lot of the material has a funky nature but it is a very diverse album with a nice chill out sitar number, a uptempo country track and a lot of space rock!!!
released March 30, 2022   Drums- PIB, Johan (2) , Bass- Pär, Jocke, Hasse, Guitars- Mathias, Johan, Tobias, Jocke, Sitar- KG, Synthesizers- Dr Space, Mogens, Ola, KG   Recorded at the Black Tornado Studios, København, Denmark in October 2010 by Lars Lundholm . Mixed and Mastered by Dr Space at Estúdio Paraíso nas Nuvens, Portugal 2021 with sonic advice from Hasse Horrigmoe.   Released on Space Rock Productions SRP075, 2022

Korb:
'The British duo of Alec Wood and Jonathan Parkes produce a sound so perfectly correct you will probably see a picture of them if you glance at the dictionary definition of 'space rock.' Isolation. 'Korb's space kraut is as hypnotizing as the sky at night and yet the sounds are highly motivating and make you wanna explore distant galaxies.' Mangowave Reviews
From the Mountains to the Oceans is the culmination of collaborative experimental transatlantic jams between Korb and El Hombre Al Agua. From minimal atmospheric ambience to all-out psych rock the two tracks here combine a range of analogue synths, electric and acoustic guitars, organ, bass, drums and percussion to create cosmic journeys over ancient landscapes, drinking in the alchemy of the elements and marvelling at the majesty of the tectonics. Following on from 2021's Arboria II, this is the second joint release by Up In Her Room and Korb's own Dreamlord Recordings, and it is available as a limited pressing white vinyl album or download from Bandcamp. Both tracks stretch out to around eighteen minutes and nicely fuse Korb's classic space rock with El Hombre Al Agua's more ambient leanings. The latter is of course the electronic project of Anunnaki's Dave Read, with the sessions also including Dom Keen, who records with Korb's Jonathan Parkes as The Hologram People and Studio Kosmische. 'Pathway to the Gods' opens with three minutes of swirling drones which create an unsettling foundation for the song before more classic instrumentation lifts us above the horizon and recognisable Korb rock sets us on our way. This, however, is Korb with a purpose as the atmosphere is heavy and the way uncertain. Weightier drones begin to threaten and they push the band towards a denser, more powerful sound as they seek to build enough power to maintain control. As Korb break free the music changes tack, bursting into the space rock we know and love, psych guitars wailing and space dust trailing in its wake. The music soars, revelling in its freedom before disappearing into the heavens. Side two, 'Chemistry And Chaos', again opens ominously with the weaving drones returning with more power and greater intent. They fight all attempts to usher them away, as drums rattle and metal trembles. Layers of sound continue to build an eerie soundscape full of mystic energy but free from coherence and restraint. The sun may shine and dry winds blow but always the haze remains, obscuring everything that lies below. From The Mountains To The Oceans is available to pre-order now, but the vinyl is expected to appear at the beginning of August. Review from Isolation.   This is a collaborative project between UK between ‘space kraut’ duo Korb, Canadian multi-instrumentalist El Hombre Al Agua (aka Dave Read of Moths and Locusts and Anunnaki) and Dom Keen (The Hologram People and Studio Kosmische). Together they have created two long and really tight space jams which fly by at light speed belying their nearly twenty minute each respective lengths…   This is because you find yourself getting inside and fully engrossed in the seeming effortless vibe which in would never guess that these guys have never sat in the same room, let alone studio, than each other. You can’t properly do such long track justice on such a short review… so just check it out and drift away. Review by Simon, The Fragmented Flaneur

The Re-Stoned:
THE RE-STONED – is an instrumental power trio from Moscow, Russia, which is generally considered by many as a 'psychedelic stoner rock' underground act because of the band's remarkable heavily fuzzed guitar sound, that is empowered by confident old-school muscular riffing.
Daliborovo Granje:
Daliborovo Granje (eng. The Branches of Dalibor) are a 4 man psychedelic/experimental/post rock band from the Međimurje county in Croatia formed in 2014. They play instrumental music influenced by various world music melodies combined into the standard post-rock / psychedelic rock genre
The Spacelords:
The Spacelords were founded in spring '2008 by Matthias 'Hazi' Wettstein (guitar), Marcus Schnitzler (drums), and Klaus Werz (bass). Klaus left the band in may '2014. With Ekhard 'Akee' Kazmaier on bassguitar the Spacelords have found their perfect lineup since june '2014. With an elegant combination of spacey melodies and powerful riffs they have created their unique sound.
Electric Octopus:
Psychedelic Rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom). Electric Octopus are a new and exciting musical cabal that'll take your mind on a weird and wonderful adventure.

Well it’s Friday already having the usual chaos, caffeine and music. Listening to Fish 🐠- Mixed Company (live in Holland 2002) mmm. Whatever will the day bring along with its self worth. Absolutely nothing or everything. Considering how many of my daily events have turned out for me the jury is always out deliberating whether or not’s. Seems that, I’m remembering some of my absolute worst experiences throughout my life. Which are vastly different but absolutely a vast amount of awful painful and unpleasant memories which always come back again and again and again. Ooh boy all the therapy hasn’t stopped the bleeding memories returning at all, add in the equivalent anti inflammatory treatment from some people who whereabouts and intensity where not in my best interests, and the humanitarian issues. I’m well and truly Fugazi so. I am not thinking of a particular event for today’s outcome…

Last nights viewing was. Three episodes of Lewis then sleep haha…

The one question that’s going through my mind is “what makes me, me… answers on a postcard… no make that a stamp…

Øresund Space Collective:

Four Riders take Space Mountain
The Scandinavian Space Rock super group are back with their 33rd release. The CD/LP features one 62min track split over 3 album sides., that we recorded in the studio back in 2014. The same session that gave us the Different Creatures and Visions of, LPs and features some of the best musicians from the Scandinavian prog rock field. This is about as Prog Rock as the band has ever been with the track taking many different musical journeys over the 3 album sides. Side D of the vinyl contains a full length version (CD contains an edit) that is a unique mixture of Indian raga and space music with just synthesizer (Dr Space), sitar (KG), violin (Jonathan), bass (Hasse) and drums (Tim) from our 2016 studio session…

Temple Fang:

Jerusalem/The Bridge

When we found our new drummer Egon Loosveldt in August of 2021 we had 5 weeks with him to prepare for the upcoming run of shows we had booked, the first ‘real’ shows after the pandemic. Because our first ever jams with him were so inspired, instead of teaching him the old songs we decided we were gonna go off the deep end and write a totally new set of material, a bit of a risky move as we didn’t know how audiences were going to react to us playing all new stuff but a decision essential to us as a band and what we hold sacred, the music and the moment. We also knew, as the official tour started in April 2022, we wanted to hit the road hard and therefore wouldn’t have time to do much recording. However, when we heard our beloved Galloway Studios in Nijmegen was to be demolished and built back up from scratch at a different location, we knew we wanted one last chance to record there. So in May 2022, after doing three shows in Switzerland and Austria, we drove 700+ miles from Graz to Nijmegen, set up our backline and recorded what was essentially our live set at the time while the building around us was being torn down, slowly covering everything in a layer of dust.   The two songs on this EP represent two different poles of Temple Fang. Sung by Dennis, Side A (“Jerusalem”) is a hard hitter, born from the original sessions with Egon and featuring a suprise turn on piano from Ivy. This take was done right after setting up our gear and checking sounds, the only one we ended up doing of this song. Sung by Jevin, Side B (“The Bridge”) was a song we had been kicking around for a while, originally intended for “Fang Temple” but not fully realised until a few weeks before this tour. A slowburner, harboring a lot of tension and not much release. Thanks for listening, XO DD/TF   Jerusalem/The Bridge is released in an edition of 500 on black vinyl, 300 through Electric Spark and 200 through Right on Mountain. Digital through Stickman.

Reflecting on the challenges of should’ve, could’ve or would’ve. If only moments during the moments of the events that became the start of my mental state of being mentally challenged. The pit falls of focusing on the facts that made me choose between each event could’ve made a huge impactful difference to the outcome in stead of what did happen…

Mike Kershaw:
My music is for the most part atmospheric progressive rock but I leave myself free to drift in any musical direction I choose within the structure of an album. The songs explore a range of emotions but have a melancholy core whilst still remaining powerful and lyrically interesting.
Charlie Cawood:
Charlie Cawood is an English multi-instrumental musician, composer and music journalist. He is known for his cross-disciplinary musical skills, as well as his work with a wide variety of projects and artists.   His first solo album, The Divine Abstract, was released in 2017.
Karma:
Swedish crossover prog band Brother Ape return with their 7th full length album to date. The band broke out of their composing, recording, gigging routine they had done so many years by first recording three EPs which they released on digital platforms first.   The best tracks of these EP, plus some really great new ones were rerecorded for the brand new album ‘Karma’.   The trio’s albums sounds fresh with many melodic prog, fusion and pop influences. FFO: Big Big Train, Elbow, Mike Olffield.
Big Hogg:
Gargoyles
released March 31, 2017 Justin Lumsden - guitar, vox, bass guitar on "Solitary Way" Richard Merchant - trumpet, cornet, tenor horn Ross McCrae - trombone, Wurlitzer electric piano Sophie Sexon - flute, vox Nick Gaughan - drums and percussion, electric piano, bass guitar and synthesizers on "Laudation" Tom Davis - bass guitar   with Lavinia Blackwall - vox on "Augogo" and "Devil's Egg" Sybren Renema - saxophone on "Devil's Egg"   Recorded at Gorbals Sound, The Old Mill and Chem 19 studio Engineered by Luigi Pasquini Mixed at Lofi Studios by Justin Lumsden, Luigi Pasquini and Nick Gaughan Mastered by Daniel Bowles at Seren Sounds Suite Cover painting - "Who Winds The Serpents?" by Julia Jeffrey This is a NoUnicorn production.
The Aurora Project:
The Aurora Project return after an absence of 2 years with their new, fourth, concept album ‘World of Grey’. The concept ‘World of Grey’ is set around the tension between an established world order and the people, of which the latter will lose out. Through increasing bugging and restrictions on media and Internet, the mouth the people are surreptitiously gagged and freedom curtailed. Democracy is no more and a gray blanket of control and repression descends over the world.

A concept album, it is a highly melodic mixture of classic prog elements, rock riffs, fusion, and world-music flavors in a compelling, dark atmosphere. “4:45 AM is nothing short of a masterwork of art. The six tracks on the original Flightless album were recorded in a tiny studio in Nottingham in late 1988, with the album being released (on vinyl only) the following Spring. The sessions were engineered by Dave Hadley, whose tireless enthusiasm and friendship were - and remain – the catalyst for a reasonable amount of recording, and an unreasonable amount of lunch.   Flightless, the title track, is a staging of Beckett’s “Krapp’s Last Tape”; when I play it now, it’s a song about itself, referring to itself across the decades. The rest of the album toils under the yoke of my characteristic bleating on the subject of human stupidity in its various forms. Sadly, little appears to have changed – 2016 represented a high-water mark (depressingly prescient as that phrase might be) in the history of wilful cluelessness, but I suspect that the worst is yet to come.   The three extra tracks on this release are demo recordings from roughly the same era.   At that time, I was dividing my attention between frequent live performance (solo, since the dissolution of Twice Bitten in 1986) and sound engineering (by this time I was touring regularly with Pendragon.) Since then my recorded output has been somewhat less than bounteous; there have been releases and production collaborations with Coltsfoot, Mazlyn Jones, Anthony Phillips, Skyclad and others, but the long-threatened “new solo album” remains as hypothetical as ever. As the gap between “finish writing it” and “start recording it” nears 30 years, all I can say is that one doesn’t like to rush these things…   In mitigation, I’ve been a bit busy; I spent the 90’s touring as sound engineer and tour manager for various rock bands (principally Rage Against the Machine) and, since coming off the road, have found a plethora of increasingly implausible excuses for not getting around to doing any recording (raising a family, playing cricket, going to Antarctica, playing more cricket, Twice Bitten reunion gigs, watching cricket, being generally useless.) And doing other things under other names.   This re-release has come about through the support (and, let’s face it, foolhardiness) of the estimable David Elliott, veteran of the 80’s Nottingham Heavy Wood scenario and now supremo of the mighty Bad Elephant label. He has been known to say “new solo album” without sniggering. Hmm… Dave – time for lunch…   Rog Patterson February 2017.

The Brackish:
THE BRACKISH are an audacious assembly of guitarists Luke Cawthra (Phantom Limb) and Neil Smith (This Is The Kit), drummer Matt Jones (Zun Zun Egui) and Port Erin bassist, Jacob Tyghe. With four albums under their belts, the band has gained a reputation for awe-inspiring live shows across the European and UK art rock scenes. Their fourth album 'Atlas Day' is released on Halfmeltedbrain Records.
Emmett Elvin:
Emmettronica, the second album on Bad Elephant Music from multi-instrumentalist Emmett Elvin, is released on 27th July.   Emmett released a collection of pieces - written and assembled in his home studio between 1998 and 2005 - with this title in 2013 in digital-only format. This new double CD - as a single CD price - contains all of those tunes together with fourteen new instrumentals recorded by Emmett in the same manner from 2006 onwards.   To quote the man himself:   "I don't create music with a specific band in mind. The material lands in my head and I simply do my best to bring it out of the ether and into the so-called real word. Most of the material gathered here didn't fit in to the criteria of any of the bands I play with and write for. What binds it together is that all of these tunes were started and finished in one session, assembled and sequenced on my Mac, hence the title 'Emmettronica.
