Nope. I was considering getting In The Land Of Grey And Pink a while ago as an introduction, although I never got around to it.

You won't regret it, In the Land of the Grey and Pink is amazing.

Now that's a good album.

James inexplicably likes If I could... more but he's crazy anyway.

Problem is, and I can't recall if it's like this on In the Land... , but some Caravan albums are mixed so f**king awfully there's no reasonable way to play them on anything but a stereo without constantly altering the volume or blowing your ears off on the loud parts.

Even on the recent remaster of If I could...

Thirded.  As I'm sure with 90% of other Proggers, that was my introduction into Canterbury (but I never really started exploring until later.)  It really is a perfect way to get into the sub-genre: very accessible, but it still has that classic Canterbury sound.

I can't say for sure, because I only listened to it once or twice for the following reasons: the entire lack of interesting melodies in comparison to the next 3 or so Caravan albums, bad mixing, humdrum vocals and hippie nonsense.

Both are excellent.  End of argument.

I'll check out the two tracks from it on the PA stream after the VdGG tracks. I'm loving Sleepwalkers.

I support this plan too.  Even though VDGG is the second greatest band of all time, it's time that Joel gets bit by the Canterbury bug.

From the samples I'm enjoying Childlike Faith In Childhood's End the least.
