Mmmmm Elton Dean is my hero, Mr. Person.  Facelift is epic.

I happen to really love the Hughscore version of it.

That's an excellent album with Canterbury and Avant-prog moments on it.

Indeed it is.  I was going to follow it up with Manna/Mirage, but I'm going to listen to a different band instead.

Ah but Manna/Mirage is their best album. Cry

Henners hates me for saying this but Elton Dean is my favourite.  Even above David Jackson.

The reason Henners doesn't like me saying that is because he loves Ornette Coleman too much.

Although I need to hear more Gary Windo.

Oh, there was a brief programme on the radio earlier about jazz trumpeters and they mentioned Wadada Leo Smith. Big smile

I love watching both the summer and winter Olympics.  I'm not sure that I would want to sit out in the cold to watch the winter Olympics in person, but I think that it would be cool to see the summer Olympics in person once in my lifetime.

Moon in June is simply amazing.  I love that track especially.  The only slight annoyance with the album is the musique concrete on Out-Bloody-Rageous.

I should report my enjoyment of the bass guitar and drums to the bass thread. Tongue

Wyatt ftw!
Hopper ftw!

I love his fuzz bass on that album but I mostly love the moment when Hopper comes in on Moon in June.  Delightful!

See, now I thought finding a piano for $20 was awesome, but I guess not. However, one thing that was definately awesome was that they had a 5.1 speaker system on display, and, of all the artists to play, it was Nine Inch Nails.

if you own a sodastream i hate you
