I would've replied sooner if I didn't just get that INSUFFICIENT ACCESS screen.
I've seen them on Australian ebay for like 300$. Is that the HT pure valve, or one of the others? I think there's a signature model or two.
Theres 2 the 2 Channel Pure Valve and a cheaper single channel one, I dno if i'll splash out for the Dual they both sound pretty similar from Youtube videos

You aren't even trying to help me!
I was bored and clicked the active users page to see how long PA had registered my online time (not very much, I guess because I didn't have the tab open continuously), and I saw this. el oh el
He/She is still there, you can go look yourself, although the guest numbers change. And someone is using Firefox 1.

DONT DO IT!!! ITS A TRAP!!!
Seriously, they dont actually use the tubes for the distorted sound. The distortion is created by clipping diodes instead so they are a no go in my book (very misleading advertising). It also chews a f**kload of juice (i think it was like 300ma adapter 15V)

I will rec good stuff

My Amp -
It's a valve head so the valve thing isn't what attracted me to Blackstar but I do really like the fuzz and overdrive sounds they get, anything similiarly versatile? My pedal set at the moment just consists of an FX Processor with a Flanger Pedal so i'm just looking to slowly make the Processor Redundant

Sound City eh? Looks pretty damn sweet. Does it have a nice clean channel?
Here are a couple really good distortions.
Okko Dominator ($250ish, can order direct (from germany), takes around 6-8 weeks)
Toneczar Openhaus ($375, 1 year waiting list, considered the best distortion pedal created although can be finicky with some amps)
Emma Pisdiyauwot ($280 iirc, nice tight high gain tone)
Goosoniqueworx Seventh Heaven (Not sure on prices or wait list yet. Supposedly quite good)
There are a few good demos of each of these pedals on YT by 'xtimehascomex' and 'burgerman666'.
