And yet another first listen. This one is apparently a solo album since for some apparent reason artists who already have bands named after them have this strange desire to release solo albums. Confused

^Turns out that this one is very jazzy and doesn't sound all that much like Santana.  I guess that is why he used his own name, but maybe he should have just come up with a creative name like Chickenfoot or Black Country Communion or Return To Forever. Wink

The albums released under the name "Carlos Santana" or "Devadip Carlos Santana" are the solo albums, and the ones that just say "Santana" are by the band.  That's how I keep them straight.  The solo albums generally stray farther from his pop territory.  Hope you check out "Oneness", a solo album from the late 70s.  It's fantastic.
