I'd have to agree with you there. LOL

I still argue that Opeth + Magma would be incredibly epic.

Indeed. One of these days Akerfeldt and Vander need to do a collaboration. That would easily be the album with the most f**ked up vocals everLOL

Add in Les Claypool's bass and vocals just for kicks. Tongue

Talk about ultimate w**keryBig%20smile Seriously though, now that we've imagined it I'm actually kinda sad that such a collaboration probably won't happen

Yeah, that's what always happens with me to when people discuss "dream bands" that sound really cool and unique... I almost begin to want them too badly. LOL

Speaking of this though and more on the side of realistic ones, do you think that Portnoy/Akerfeldt/Wilson collaboration will ever occur? And if it does, will it amount to anything?

Well you SHOULD watch that video later on. Basically Wilson says that it will happen for sure, it's simply a matter of schedules and time for all three of them. And of course it will be an epic collaboration.

Oh, okay, I've pretty much known the information in that video then... just in a short synopsis. I'll probably watch it later tonight.

I was more so asking your opinion on it though. What do you think it'll be like?

Not sure to be honest. Obviously it'd be an album on the heavy side, but more a PT type of heavy instead of an Opeth or DT type of heavy I'd imagine. I'd also like to hear Wilson do lead guitar and Akerfeldt play bass since he was originally recruited for Opeth to be a bassist.

Yeah, I'm not sure either. I'll definitely acquire it as soon as it comes out though, I'd imagine; we'll have to wait until then to find out.

Your idea of Akerfeldt playing bass would be extremely interesting. I wonder if it's plausible though. It all depends on the musical direction they take, I suppose.

Indeed. I mentioned it simply because I'm really curious as to what Akerfeldt's bass style sounds like. Oh and btw how RIO is Gryphon?

Gryphon automatically scores a sh*tload of RIO points for featuring both krumhorns and bassoons---then don't forget their constant shifts in time signatures and very unorthodox method of composing.

That's RIO enough for me. LOL

Staying on the topic of RIO, how much Univers Zero have you heard and how have you liked it? I'm listening to "Uzed" right now, which is fantastic. Hug

I've heard a few of their albums, but it's been some time since I've listened to them. All I remember is that either Uzed or 1313 was my favorite one by them. I might listen to them after I'm done with Gryphon.

You definitely should. Wink

Go chronological. Listen to them all. That's a command. Angry
