Funny how "ugly" reviews keep coming after the new changes...I most
definately thought at one point that unappropriate reviews will become
history...

My perception is that there are far fewer dodgy reviews since the changes. Early days yet though.

Unfortunately not, Riccy... but at least in the last 7 days the unappr. decreased a lot. Although I'm not so optimistic, soon new visitors will come and instead of making a review they'll write an "opinion". The good thing is that with time some "opiniators" learn and become real reviewers. Ivan, the facility you see when clicking is available for all reviewers (being or not a Prog Rreviewers or a Special Collab). |

I have one too. In that case, together with Prog Reviewers/Collaborators no longer having the facility of their reviews appearing first regardless of date, does that mean there are no more privileges to become a Prog Reviewer? I would really like to know the answer. I also find there are less dodgy reviews. Nice things, really. -- Ivan |

Chronology for Collabs reviews shall be re-established. But the idea is to enhance some facilities for all reviewers, regardless of "ranks". |

OPETH "Still Life "
by MadcapLaughs84 (Hector Hernandez) Notice that a previous review of this band was absolutely rejected by the site managers. But in this time I'll try to be a little bit less critic and more neutral on this review. First I'd like to say that in my opinion not every groups that has some prog influences has to be considered Prog, and I guess this band is the best example of it. Like In said before Death Metal is not the one who excites me the most.
I'd like to start with the good things of this album and I have to recognize the voice power of Mikael Akerfeldt, and the ability to make gutural sounds and also a sweet voice. Guitar riffs have their good times, not all the CD is that bad. I also need to emphazise the awesome acoustic passages as in "Benighted" and "Face of Melinda". BUT... It's not prog, there are progger things than just screams and an overloaded double bass drum. It's an interesting project to be Death Metal, but for me, in my opinion, this can't be called PROG. It's all I can say. Weren't a few identical "this is not prog" reviewer rejected from the website a while ago? I remember reviews being deleted because of the reviewer's incompetence in the genre he was reviewing.

AUDIENCE "Lunch"
by bsurmano (Berislav Surmanovic) After a long hesitating I've finally decided to buy this album. Since I've read a lot of critics and reviews about this album, my approach was not to expect something of material similar to precedeing two albums. In doing so, I found this to be an interesting album.I prefer original recordings so I acquired an LP ; on the A side my favourite is the opener 'Stand By The Door' closely followed by closing track 'In Accord' ; on the B side these are 'Thunder And Lightning' and 'Party Games'. Pity that it was their last album, which I consider to be quite good - therefore three stars. Not too much about music . |

PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI (PFM) "Storia Di Un Minuto "
by fratelmaestro An attempt is made here to piece together a history of P.F.M. from their earliest days. My knowledge of the band is rather limited and the information that follows has been collected from bits and pieces that I have found on the Internet. I welcome all contributions particularly from any Italians who stumble upon this humble website and can share some knowledge on the band...
etc..
Well, good effort... but I fear that's not the right place to write the biography of the band!
