Yes, are strength isn't everything...ahem...Flacco....cough cough

Romo is the most overrated QB in the league though.  Peyton is up there but that's only because you'd get shouted down by any tv analyst if you didn't agree that he was God himself decended from heaven to play football.

This is true Pat does hate everything.
Well Flacco still can prove himself, Romo has already proven he's overrated.
And I think the Colts are very overrated, as a team. They are unbalanced and simple. I mean hell, the tight ends are pretty much receivers, the backs never have to block, the O-line was pretty good but not as much now...
It actually shows how good Peyton is that they are so good.

Colts are definitely not overrated. Peyton is just that good honestly

....Isn't that what I said? Confused I think you like disagreeing with me just for the sake of it!

No, other Eagles fans agree with you Wink
What he did was f**king disgusting IMO, and "he deserves a second chance" wasn't Vick on like...his 7th?
He's a terrible human being, I dont care.
Also I hate celebrities living a special life. DUI, drugs, whatever....they get away with everything. Vick got some jail time yeah...but still. And what about Stallworth?
Closest a player has gotten to a real person was punishment was Plaxico Buress, and even that was light.

And are you making up excuses or do you hate the Steelers because they are the other PA team? Tongue
I actually found most Eagles fans are posers. The first to throw them under the bus and they only love McNabb yet wanted to throw him out every year.
Steelers fans are just very, very arrogant.

Poser fans!  What the f*ck is that supposed to mean?  The city wouldn't exist without the football team, for christs sake.  Green Bay is the only other city I can name in which the football team is basically their identity as a city.  Who the hell are you a fan of, anyway?

You said they're overrated. I'm saying they're not.

There's people who did much worse things than Vick and got much less time. Stallworth being the prime example. It's annoying how much flack he took, and I hate Michael Vick as a QB.

We criticize our teams in Philly. That's not being a poser fan. It's being a person who expects something of their team.

Yeah Poser fans. This city is filled with them. They act like diehard fans, but have never been to Pittsburg. They just decided the Steelers win a lot of games, so they may as well be Steelers fans.

I'm an Eagles fan.

Ohhhhhhhh, an Eagles fan, sad.  How could a Philly sports fan ever criticize another town's fans?  Philly "fans" only show up to drink, boo,and start fights.  Don't worry about Vick though, JJ, he'll come crashing back down to earth as soon as he plays against a competent defense.

As for Plax: he should've taken his case to a higher court on the grounds that NY's handgun laws are unconstitutional.

I would agree, GENERALLY, people who like teams not of their city that are popular (Packers, Steelers, Bears, 49ers, Cowboys) don't really care as much...but plenty do.

Yeah, obviously this is a generalization and not all are...but Eagles fans are quite rude and will give the team or players or coaches flak beyond all hell, just to run to their side and defend when they play well.

And don't have to tell me Anton. Vick has always been the most over hyped QB, and I don't see him keeping this up. And to think Kolb was hurt, and benched for him because of one good game and Kevin still has had no chance to develop.
f**king shame.

Oh, and I was just making the point about Plax that he got the closest to real person penalty. I think they said the standard jail time for his violation was 4 years, and he got 2 and a half I think?
And you're right...but Anton I do not have to tell you that Plax is an idiot LOL

Actually, you'd be describing the Cowboy's fanbase.  The Steelers have fans across the country mainly because when the steel industry died out Pittsburghers scattered around the country to find work (this is also why you can find a Pittsburgh bar almost anywhere you go).  That and they've almost always played a tougher style of football, which resonates with a lot of people.  Pittsburgh has an H, by the way.  And again, no city's identity is more tied into their football team (other than GB).  You start wear black and gold as a baby in western PA and you never stop.  Hell, just watch our local news, if the Pope exploded while visiting the White House the story would have to wait till after game highlights and at least 4 player/coach interviews.

Although I have to admit I thought your Steelers lost their way for a while...
I'm still not 100% convinced they're back yet, though I have hope.

Speaking of it though, talk about the sad state of the NFL.
Look at this game.
Packers and Bears.
Aerial festival?

Sad

EDIT: DAMN IT PLAX! And right when I thought he turned the corner....he screws it up. Then he screws it up bigger. What a moron.

While I'm glad to see the defense back where they should be I'm still concerned about our offense.  I actually fear they will move away from the run too much when Ben returns.  I'm also still of the opinion that the coordinator is a moron and that reopening his entire playbook will not really be a good thing.

As for the Pack: I can't remember ever considering them a running team while Favre was there so I'm not really shocked by the Rodgers era thus far.

Yeah they were more pass heavy with Ben.
Whatever wins of course, but still hurts me a bit.

Maybe of as later with the Pack but Ahman Green, Ryan Grant?
They at least kept with the run.

Not that they will now anyway.

And yes, I call it ’soccer.’ Don’t correct me because I don’t care what they call it in other lands — I speak America.

Sorry world, we already have football and it’s way better. It’s supposed to be played by 300 pound men eight seconds at a time, not five-foot, six-inch fairies lightly jogging for three hours, or however long your game is…buy a scoreboard!

It’s hard for me to get into a sport that I mastered at the age of seven. Excuse me for not being able to get revved up for this corner kick that never works. Hooray! The game ends without a single goal. I want to kill myself when an NBA team doesn’t break a hundred. That’s because you don’t get a free taco.

Maybe there would be more scoring if they weren’t flopping all of the time. And hooligans, instead of killing players that screwed up, murder the ones that fall down crying because their toe got stepped on."

We do? Marketing data would tend to suggest we do more than that. Keep watching Sportscenter and absorb their anti-Philly bias.

I was agreeing with you. I post things to concur sometimes too. A response from me doesn't mean I disagree.

Where do you see that? I don't. I've lived in the city my entire life. We criticize Reid for his obvious shortcomings. We praise him for his faults. It is the same thing with McNabb. I've never heard Westbrook criticized once, by anybody, my entire life. People complained he didn't touch the ball enough, but that's certainly not an indictment of him.

The McNabb thing is such a joke. It's invented by national media. There's some people who didn't like McNabb. It's always the case with a quarterback. However, he's the most beloved qb in the history of the franchise.

I can only speak from my personal experience and general chat.
I am glad to hear that though, he should be the most beloved in your franchises history.
For westbrook, I guess it's different in the city but Eagles fans I've known here would always give him flak for being hurt (I found pretty unfair) or for "being just a receiver" or just giving him sh*t in general. I thought he was a great back myself.
You do live in the city, maybe the Eagles fans here are not quite as true...you know some NY taint on themWink

Jersey people aren't even human let alone real fans.

Trust me most people in this city would take a bullet for Westbrook. He was the best running back in the league in 2007, as well as a consistent top back whenever he was healthy.

Ha! Well for the Eagles of course not...you savages on the wrong side of the Delaware River....
It's beyond me anyway when we have two "New York" teams playing right here in the state!

Westbrook did have a hard time staying healthy, (and played in that passing team) but he was a damn good back. Remember a few years back I used to really dread playing the Eagles with McNabb, Westbrook, and Jeremiah Trotter in the middle of that D.
