Oh, now I see that Rob beat me to the Olympics murder. Oh well. We can complain about the stupid Follow the leader thread instead, I guess.

That's good news. I hope the other members of the team will give a listen soon.... James said he would.
Hope the others will also have positive reactions about it.
Thanks for the time you took.

Oooooh. Found a performance of the Art Bears songbook with Fred Frith, Chris Cutler, Zeena Parkins, Carla Kihlstedt, Jewlia Eisenberg, and Kristen Slipp. Yummy.

Hell yes it is. I'd definitely grab it you if I were you. One of the best Post Metal/Post Rock  albums of all time.

You can't just say something like that.

Consider it done.

I'm also going to pick up Kveldssanger, for the acoustics, and maybe something else if I can find a bargain.

Inorite

I need to get some Isis too, don't know why I've put it off for so long. Next time I go out I'll probably get Wavering Radiant, seems to be the only one they stock here.

Joel, every PT song in their most listened to is by Steve Wilson. Angry

Also, I would like you to intellectually defend your purchase of that--what I assume to be--gawdawful Steve Wilson covers box set. I could maybe understand if it was a box of covers by Steve Wilson, but who gives a f**k about what other people think of his songs?

Edited for a genre of music that actually exists. Wink

Seriously though, I like the "post-metal" bands I heard, but I hate the name of the genre given to many of those bands. I usually refer to them as "sludge metal" or "post-rock".

That's fine. That's where the majority of their best material is. Excluding Stupid Dream and TSMS.
