That's awesome. More music is good. Thumbs Up

I'm doing pretty well. Alot of good things have happened to me over the past month or two, so that's been helpful. My band's second album came out and the albums are MUCH easier to download now, and I was excited about that for a while. School is going well too... only 7 more weeks!

sh*t happens.

Pretty much anything else I could say would be a more redundant form of that phrase. Wink

Yeah it's just we don't have the best of friendships and no matter how much I try to get to know her better or become better friends I always find some way of screwing it up. Repeatedly.

At least you're trying.  It's better than not trying and feeling sorry for yourself, which happens/happened to me sometimes.

I could never feel sorry for myself. I just know I did something idiotic and then apologize for my rash behaviour. I seem to do this quite a bit with just this one person.

The Internet is evil and has ruined the economy.  That is why shops are closing, newspaper companies are shutting and the like.  Of course, the Car building is not linked, 'cause you cannot (yet) build a car on the Internet.

However, people look at the News online.  People buy stuff online.

So the Internet is more offensive than many politicians.

The thing that 'ruined the economy' was a profit-increasing system spiralling out of control... not politicians, not really even bankers, just people losing a sense of priorities and moderation and then the idiot media blowing the crisis up for their own benefit. The internet changed the economy, but using it remains just as valid as going out and buying things in person.

That's what I meant.

I have no problem with the Internet.  It's just how it's used by some people a lot of the time. Cry

The last big news I've got is that I received a scholarship to get my master's degree in Berlin.

Which is awesome.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Yeah, I've done stuff like that before. Things usually work out well, not always, but usually...

Oooh.

Come and visit me via England.  It will be great to meet you!

Ben, some friendships aren't meant to be.  Some people are also too sensitive and don't understand things properly.

Your case with said girl maybe a mix of both.

I don't think it's your fault.

The only problem with that scholarship is that I've got only one year to learn deutsch. It's possible but I actually need to get at it.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Continued...

I'm not friends with the people I knew when I was 18, except some old school friends.  People move on.  I've found new friends since then.  Some of those have also since moved on.

However, my current friend-base has been the same for quite a while now.  I have close/good friends and friends who I speak to in a pub/club once a week but who I rarely contact outside of that environment.  Then I have acquaintances and associates who I'm mostly indifferent to and am not fussed if I never see them again.

As you may gather, the close friends are a small group.  They also don't all know each other (some are school friends and have never met my other close friends).  These are the friends who are likely to always be about in some way or another.  Some may disappear off the radar but these things happen unfortunately.

Most people get sensitive about certain things though, including myself.  The difference between me and most people, though, is I tend to get sensitive about ideas and abstractions, rather than people and drama.

There are a lot of things out there.  I only understand (or believe I understand) a small percentage of them.

Interesting. LOL

All you need to know is:

Hallo/guten morgen/guten tag/guten ahben
Auf wiedersehen
Heil *insert name of tutor/head here*
Nein, Englander!

Then you're good to go.

LOL

True but just because someone disagrees with what you say, doesn't necessarily mean you cannot be friends with them.

Luckily I have a good sense of knowing who to speak to in regards to subjects.  Religion, for example.

I already know all of that. I just don't think it's enough to actually follow master classes. LOL
