The 30-something crowd seems to have grown up during prog's dead years so there does seem to be only a small group of us.

I haven't made that one's acquaintance, but to be honest it kind of "Freaks me out", to quote my 4 year old nephew. The cover is about as grotesque as I have seen, and I believe it was Bern who quoted some of the lyrics, which definitely sounded like something that I had no interest in listening to.

I'm not sure you'd like it. I'm not sure I like it. But I'm intrigued by it, and some songs are great.

On the flipside, I am listening to L'Evoluzione from Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, and I am absolutely loving it. But I must resist. I cannot afford to fall in love with another prog genre. Especially one where almost all of the CDs will have to be imported.

Scott, for what it's worth, Linus clued me into the fact that there's a good deal of RPI available through iTunes. Still haven't picked up any though.

Banco is an amazing band, but Darwin! is actually the album I like the least of their great first three. Wrote a rambling and confused review trying to explain why

I love every single song off First Utterance, they're all insane and brilliant!
No other band really sounds like them, they're unique.
Of course, someone will now prove me wrong by telling me such-and-such a band sounds like them.

I'm actually too scared to listen to their second album (which I do have).

I threw up a little when I heard "Down like A Movie Star". I haven't investigated further
