That reminds me, got to check out Kayo Dot! Been meaning to for a while.

The parallel dimension known to your kind as a "film set" beckoned and I was sucked into its grips until I could fight my way to a portal and escape to the other side.

I made a movie, you should vote for it. Because I'm pretty, that's why.

Mine is "Silent Seawall", it has an excellent cast, ragtime music, slapstick humor and lovely ladies - many of them born that way :0

Check it!

also, hello Shred ^___^

But it's a silent movie! And it's not in color! Where are the CGI??? Shocked

Choirs of the Eye was probably my favorite but I was never really into them.

The first two at least, perhaps even all of them. Choirs of the Eye is the masterpiece provided you're into extreme metal.

I now finally ordered the Gamma Knife CD and the Hubardo download + shirt package. I don't think I'll listen to the new song or the teaser before I have the entire thing.

BLD is probably my least favorite KD, but it's still really good.  It just sounds the most like standard RIO music.  All the other KD albums sound totally unique.

Enough acronyms in that sentence you think? ^^

BLD was so underwhelming that I can't even look them in the eyes again. Like... really really bad sex

I've sampled the new song once , and it sounds really really good, but I too don't like to listen to teasers that much.  I prefer to wait until I can hear it in context.

Right now there's a battle inside my brain between wanting to milk this Britpop phase for all it's worth (especially now that I'm reading John Harris' book The Last Party: Britpop, Blair and the demise of English rock) and getting back into weirder stuff like, surprise surprise, KD. I don't think they can coexist.

I don't know. Possibly. The lyrics I've written reminds me of all those bands Joel introduced me to like Park Jefferson and Henry Bemis is a Superhero. LOL

It's back to work for me on monday. I'm both looking forward to it and not, iykwim.
I do. I was pretty happy about going back to work before it actually happened, but it's summertime, so a lot of the usual routines like buying stuff is on hold and two of my favourite coworkers are on their holidays and a third left for a longer vacation. Which includes a sting in Washington DC, because his wife is a genius astronomer and she goes to work for NASA next year for a while.
Cool!

I love working in the summertime. I work in a kindergarden, so we're outside most of the time, and there's fewer kids, as some of them are still on vacation, so it'll probably be quite relaxing at work the first couple of weeks.
