There is a lot of great indie, but some of it is pretty lame (mostly the popular stuff that isn't even on an independent label).

Well, the band was Of Montreal, if that means anything. Either way, I like them, and now it's time to hit on hipster chicks.

Well, a lot of music is called indie and a lot of it could be called indie cause the world doesn't really imply anything.

That said, I like a lot of bands that are tagged as indie. I just never could find anybody able to explain what the indie genre was about. LOL

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Hydrogenated fat, pubes, e-coli and salmonella.

And not very tasty.

Salmonella sounds pretty delicious to me. Approve

I never understood why that label even caught on. It's way too vague; I don't even think of it as a genre.

Me too.

Standing with your foot on a Marshall Amp, with a fan blowing in your face, whilst wearing skin-tight leather trousers and standing next to the bass player who is doing the same thing, isn't a good look.

I always picture Salmonella as some exotic fish entree for some reason, not dangerous bacteria.

Strangely, Of Montreal aren't from Montreal. I like them though.

And hitting on hipster chicks is so Bern.

Salmonella is the misspelt daughter of Salman Rushdie.

Just like Chlamydia is the misspelt name for The Clam Media Company.

Oh, a funny story I heard the other day. Apparently Dillinger Escape Plan and Disturbed hate each other because when they were on tour once, DEP came out on stage a bit before the show and saw the two guitarists for Disturbed going over when during the setlist they'd put their feet up on the amps. DEP criticized the other two guys about it and they said, "Oh, well DEP is just jealous because they have a nearly non-existent fanbase and nobody's ever heard of them, unlike Disturbed." So DEP countered with "Oh, at least we don't prefer to sell out to play arena rock, unlike DEP." Granted I don't listen to either band, but I thought it was funny as hell.LOL

The worst one is the 'anti capitalist' indie bands, that go far enough to actually rip off the brand of the amp so they look 'non comformist'.
f**king idiots.

Yeah, understandable, but it's trippy because "f**k bitches get money" is an injoke between me and some friends.
