Nursery Cryme, and I was mind-blowned even if I think that it's the weakest PG-era album. It's still a masterpiece :p

Actually it was Seconds Out. I brought it home, put it on the turntable, and discovered that a lot of the songs that I had recorded from the radio were Genesis songs. That was 34 years ago. And the rest is history.......

In about 1977 I was heavy metal obsessed & asked my brother in law if he had any 'heavy' albums... he lent me Genesis Live...

Suddenly, there was a whole new sphere outside of HM for me

The first Genesis album I heard in its entirety was Nursery Cryme (I got the album for my 16th birthday), but the first Genesis song I ever heard was Firth of Fifth, almost two years before, if I remember it right.

I was born in 1990. My parents were Genesis fans so the first album I heard was either Foxtrot or Selling England (we had both at home) in 1997 or 1998. I remember being very intrigued by the covers with those funny looking huntsmen and this lady fox LOL. The music was somewhat fascinating too me, in a scary way.
I later stopped listening to it entirely and went back to prog only in 2005.

Genesis - LIVE when i was around 14 yold and i hated it. 1 or 2 years later i came back to it and loved it. I still like it, mainly for "the Knife". :D

I haven't listened to it since about 3 or 4 years though.

I had heard many random Genesis songs, although from the Phil Collins era prior to hearing any of their albums in full.

The first album I heard in full was "Selling England by the Pound". I did not like it at first, but since it has grown on me to quite a degree.

Selling England By the Pound for me, when I was first experimenting with progressive music.

A Youngan such as me JUST checked out Selling England, I was impressed but I haven't checked the rest of their stuff out yet. Which album do you think I should look into next?

Not a bad recommendation, depending on what you liked about Selling.  Out of the three, I'd put Trick Trick at the top.  Wind and Wuthering wouldn't be bad, either.

I remember hearing I Can't Dance long ago. But the first full album I heard was The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway I think. I remember really liking the title track. But the first Genesis I really liked was Foxtrot.

And Then There Were Three (the first album I ever bought).  Four weeks later I bought Selling England by the Pound.  This was July/August 1979.  I could only afford an album every four weeks because I never had much pocket money!
