Tears for Fears is the band you almost never think of but then you buy a album and puts it on and you are literly blown of your feet by their precision and delivirance.
one band that are sadly not respected as much as they deserve (almost a cult band), and Roland Orzabal have a fantastic voice
just check this albums art work
their lonest song
check the drums and bass here
I've loved TFF for years and Badman's Song is amazing. My wife's parents' karaoke machine has it so I sing it every time I'm there. XD
what strike me most about TFF is that they seemd so confident, the music was confident, especially when you hear interviews.
Spcially Kurt Smih was a bit over his head sometimes in early interviews, while I have nothng less then full admiration for Roland:
What a musician he is/was he got full package, a voice to die for, solid guitaris and brilliant tune smith with a awesome sence for melodie and structure also brings in Jazzy elements sometimes.

It's actually funny because both Curt and Roland claim they are not musical genius', how much of that album they aspired so high but didn't really know how to do what they wanted to do. Apparently they spent 10 days mixing the drums in Badmans Song alone, because they were such perfectionists. In the end it all became too much and Curt left the band, Roland went on an released a couple of alright albums, but it wasn't until Curts return for their 2004 album "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" that they quite reached that quality again. Still, I have a soft spot for Raoul and the Kings of Spain, the second Orzabol only album, it is very acoustic and latin influenced, has a different sound than anything else released under the TFF moniker. They have a surprisingly varied sound, especially considering they only released 6 albums. They were also rather experimental, if you ever listen to their b-sides and rarities collection, "Saturnine, Martial and Lunatic", there are some really odd things going on there.
Robert, I believe that you will be most pleased with my next band marathon.
And I am disappointed. Refulgence should be RUSHed.
Don't really rush it though.
Things aren't sounding the way I really want them to. There's a lot of really good musical passages present, and they need more care and attention to really make everything shine. It'll be ready soon enough though.

Cool, still looking forward to it.
Also, some of the lyrics really suck. I was singing some of it and actually grimaced. It was a "wtf no" moment.

I am not familiar with 10cc.
oh
that is not good it is a very important rock band, they are unique one of the core art pop bands, who knew how to construct song like it was easyest thing in the world
especially their Fender Rhodes sound is one of the best and rivals Steely Dans Rhodes sound
Lyrics really take me a long time to come up with- I can have a piece of music for years with no words. Then one day the lyrics just come all at once.
Better than one word at a time.
There are actually two instrumentals on Refulgence (nine tracks total). The first is basically an introduction to the title track and the second is something I made up recently. I just picked up my acoustic guitar and played, and the second instrumental is what came out. It won't just be an acoustic piece, however.
This postponement will also give me time to raise the money to get an actual CD made though, and that makes me feel better about it. You saw the cover art. I also have cover art for the back.
