you have to figure they will have learned what 3 other teams didn't learn... when you have them down.. they are not out. I like that in a team.. no quit at all. I'll be rooting for them... must be my warm and fuzzy side Love a feel good story

Proof again that "it ain't over until it's over " one of Yogi Berra proggiest adages! Sport continually manages to prove that mind can overcome matter. This was not luck but willpower. Unfortunately for the Turkish side , the Germans are never the BEST team but the are a TEAM machine. Imagine for a sec though: Greece 4 years ago and now say Turkey wins the whole thing ! maybe then, they would learn to start liking each other

Well, well Now the semi final will be Germany - Turkey...and that with millions of Turks living in Germany... That's a spicy confrontation to say the least... But my "expected" final Holland - Germany is still possible... Of course we still have to deal with Russia, and when we win that... Italy or Spain... Let the Orange train move on...

Go Holland Go, keep showing the beautiful game in its offensive glory! Total football must win, once and for all.

The Orange machine turned to juice! What a dreadful mental display, almost as if they were sure of victory! No edge, no fight , no fire. The Russians were solid, determined and tenacious. Frankly, to neutrals like me, the Russians deserved to win. Any more surprises?

I can hardly bring myself to say that the Germans are going to win...again...

Sorry to my friend Erik but your boys got a hell of a beating tonight.

they should have... wasn't surprised at all by that result... was passes for analysts here in the states for our coverage ... some guy with a cute English accent so I assume he knows football .... wondered outloud how the Dutch would fare in a tight match and had big questions about their defense. Score one for him... 3 group winners up... 3 down.. wonder if we'll see 4 for 4 today hahhaha.

we had a Baikal revival evening yesterday but only watched the extra time of the match. What a surprise!
The Russian team rules - but nevertheless - my prefered finale stays ...

yeah... I think Turkey's string probably runs out against Germany.. but still think it will be a great match.. and wouldn't be surprised if the Turks beat them.. Germany hasn't looked that great.. and Turkey has shown a GREAT deal of moxie. So who knows? can't wait for today's match.. will Spain choke again.. Italy finally play to it's capabilities... oohhhh.. looking forward to this one. Predictions? Spain 2 Italy 1..

Spanish team is famous to swim swim swim and die in the shore sands... well, let's see today. Italy generally grows when they're allowed to go forward.

Final possibilities Russia- Turkey? nah! Germany-Russia? nope! Germany-Italy? well that's more likely. But I think it will be Germany-Spain.
