It's alive ! Well. Nearly.
Wiring - voltage testing - subframes put back in - modules connected - calibration. |

Oh, it's fine, I'm immune to electricity. ;-)
Got some time to finish this now as I resigned from my job on Friday. Long story. ;-) Right, off to the garage, hope I've calculated the fuse rating properly !! So all I need is an asbestos blanket and to make sure the house insurance is up to date. ;-) |

As the guy who replaced our old electricity meter said, “this is a very high power fuse, it will never blow” .

Oh dear. Ahem. ;-)
RIGHT The case is alive. Power to power supplies working ! Flick the switch, green lights. Now to wire up the DC distribution side and we have a powered up synthesizer. ;-) |

Power on. ;-)
17 of 18 indicator lights working, one intermittent 5v connector which can be sorted out later. Just needs the wiring fiddling with, loose connection. Indicator lamps showing the PSU's working are fine. ;-) Now to wire in the case lighting and connect up a Moog Minitaur which is temporarily going in there as well. |

60 percent internally connected. More work to do, some more soldering, calibration etc. "Nearly done".
I am NOT building another one. Well. For a while. ;-) The two cabinets will be eventually moved closer to each other to cut down cable nightmares. |

And I'm quite pleased with the result. When it's fully up and running, it'll be like some deranged analogue Christmas tree.
Ended up with 16 oscillators in the total system. Oh dear, I'll just have to make do. ;-) |

Have you considered gardening or even stamp collection ? ( I'm sure I will when the time comes - anyway, good luck, buddy, hope all comes out right) Ahhhh, and kudos to your lady, mine is a PITA when it comes to letting me work at home.

I'm not sure what "other hobby" means, though. ;-)

You should diversify, though ! (hobbywise, I mean) Birdwatching forces me out of the house and it's a healthy means of relaxation. (I had to give up wind sailing because of my multiple bone/joint ailings - old age sucks !)

Go on, then, I'll solder up bigger 5U format systems, instead of 3U. ;-)

Gets a bit weird here. I really should get some psychedelic oil projector lighting.
