My avatar is a photo of me dancing in a very low cut dress and listening to music. It was a happy time in my life.

^ I'm married so I avoid commenting on women's very low cut dresses, at least when they have them on, and especially in this day and age it might be seen as terribly inappropriate at the best of times. That said, it is a very nice happy pic.

My avatar is from the show Black Mirror from the episode White Bear (also to be found in Bandersnatch). For a time after I joined I used my "mug", but I fear that some who see my photo will develop an unhealthy obsession with me. I'm not vain, just glorious. ;)

I love black mirror.
Bless you, that’s very sweet. I don’t mind you looking I wouldn’t have chosen it as my avatar if I did. I don’t think you are inappropriate at all so do not worry.
That said I was nervous about using it because I am showing my face (and some of my body!)

Clap

Mine's still Chris Squire, lol.

I'm debating about switching up to a custom VDGG avatar shortly, though.

Aww I love Aladdin! Reminds me of my childhood.
I was thinking of having a Disney Princess as my avatar. I have been told (clearly by blind people) I look like a cross between Kate Middleton and Ariel from the little mermaid (i wish!!!)

My avatar shows Oganesson as it might appear in the periodic table: element name, symbol, atomic number and atomic mass.

Because I was new to the site when I logged on, I just used one of the ones that was offered, the Black Swan.  I may use a real photo, not at home now to experiment.  Sometimes this site is difficult with my photos, sometimes not.  Probably me!

Provided that it's on one's computer, the image is 150 KB or less and the extension is .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png, I haven't had a problem with uploading the image. It can help to have some good photo editing software.

I cycle my avatar pics. The ones I used the longest were Sean Connery as Zed in Zardoz, Nigel Tufnel from Spinal Tap (various people thought it was Randy Rhoads), another Spinal Tap image with the trio, and scientists with the Doomsday Clock as I was not feeling optimistic about our future (still not, to be honest).

My avatar is no longer the black swan...This photo is strange, I have the actual photo as well, but a long time ago, somehow, in messing around, this ghost effect accidentally showed up.  I like it better this way since it's kind of eerie.
And thanks, Logan, for the tip.  I didn't realize that even though the preview looks enormous (at least on my laptap), the actual photo comes out the right size.

that's really cool!Thumbs Up

funny about that black swan...  seems to be a popular choice of the ladies around here.  I see it and I immediately think of Terri.  She went forum AWOL around election time 2016.. she got into it with one of our forum nutjobs and it got a bit messy .. you would have really liked her. A Kentucky girl.. and full of fire, piss and vinegar. We obviously hit it off immediately. Shame she left..  she owed me a signature on that book of hers that I bought.

urrgg... good god man.. I'm not sure what the hell that thing is you have for your avatart.. but it makes Zed look mighty scrumptious..

though I will always think of you as Nigel.. that was the one in the golden years.  I still have people tell me they immediately think of me when they see the Sulle corde di Aries cover and I haven't had that as an avatar in quite a few years.

Swans are very feminine in aspect (although, of course, some are males, or there would be no more swans), my favourite fairy tale of all time is The Ugly Duckling.  I love justice (how The Ugly Duckling became the Swan) And Bert Jansch had a CD called The Black Swan.  I think I would have liked Terri, too.  Maybe she'll come back and surprise everyone.  You'll have to let me know if she does (or I'll look for a "new" black swan to appear).
