!!! - Daytrotter Studios 5/29/2013
Daytrotter live recording. First listen, nice rock music, had a good funky energy to it.

The Books - Thought for Food
"Folktronica", aka acoustic guitar and tons of samples, really cool stuff, definitely more than the sum of its parts.

Bjork - Volta
I don't get why this album has such a bum rep here, I really love it, one of Bjorks better, great songs and I love the guy who accompanies her on Dull Flame of Desire, such a voice.

Born Gold - Daytrotter Studios  5/23/2013
Cool pop music, another daytrotter, my subscription is definitely worth the mone.

Deerhoof - +81
EP/single centered on experimental/noise rock band Deerhoofs catchiest song, +81. The other songs are good, I like the live rendition of Sealed With a Kiss of of Apple 'O.

Slim Cessna's Auto Club - Bloudy Tenant Truth and Peace
Second listen of this alternative-country album, not striking me as hard as Cipher (the only other album I have by them), partially because Munly is less up front in this one and I prefer his style to Slim's. Still, finding nuggets to enjoy in it.

Ponytail - Kamehameha
First album from this noise rock trio, Molly is much more brutal on the vocals in this one, in the later ones she is more melodic, but other than that it is very similar in style to their other two. I quite like it.

Rasputina - Oh Perilous World
I guess this is a concept album of a stage show that never was, there is definitely great drama in this folksy music, and great dynamics.

Reverend Glasseye - Our Lady of the Broken Spine
Another alt country, I know Reverend Glasseye played with Slim Cessna's Auto Club, not sure if he was on the album I listened to earlier today though. I like this one quite a bit, I think this was my 4th or 5th playthrough and things are really starting to fall into place.

Agalloch - The Mantle
Great metal with great atmosphere.

I'll be fully honest, I just push play on the Artist I want without putting my iPod on shuffle. Just plays albums straight, sometimes I barely notice.
