GReat post! On tour every where you go in Europe (apart from France) you get sliced Dutch cheese for breakfast.......... we call it gig-cheese. Even the kids call it gig-cheese. It's the only time you could eat it, and then only cos you're STARVING!!!! |

Gig-Cheese. I don't know why, but that sounds somewhere between disgusting and really quite rude Incidentally - is there a sliding scale for hugs at Pendie gigs? I mean, if you get a hug for a CD, what if you buy a CD and a shirt? Or a shirt and a DVD but not the CD? Or a CD and DVD, but you buy the shirt on-line? This is very confusing, Rachel - the discerning Pendie supporter needs to know these things |

You are of course right Mr Garten..................
well, I kiss every envelope that leaves HQ (not really but I do handwrite them all and stick the stamps on!) I try not to discriminate between our customers though, they are all equally important and therefore I like to hug them all............. apart from the particulary "scary- I -live-with-my -mother-and -hide-small-creatueres-in-my-beard" kind............... those I am just VERY polite to! |

Basically Jim wants to know what he can expect backstage upon purchase of the entire band's back catalog. |

At my age, If I bought the entire catalogue, I would expect a hernia ... or at least a peck on the cheek from Nick
You first met James at a Pendie gig didn't you? |

and the higher the profile Pendragon get, the greater the chances of entering the mainstream, the fewer of these types are inclined to turn up to the gigs....I like your thinking, Rach...
++++ note to self +++
must remember to shave, put on a clean shirt and some deodorant before meeting Rachel...try not to sweat too much and make sure that both eyes are looking at her when you talk, not just the brown one...

right now if you bought the entire back cat, you'd probably get a kiss from Clive, Pete, Scott AND Nick!!!! Anyway, I've just been on radio Wilts, so you might need to buy a CD AND and bag at least for a kiss now! |

Blimey, the shed has been busy since last night. I've just had a nice pleasant day cutting logs and general tidying up in the garden.
Just to put the record straight I don't combine beetroot, blue cheese, salad cream and pernod all at the same time. I have my standards tha' knows.
It's either the first three or a dash of Pernod in my beetroot soup. I got that idea from an internet recipe which called for star anise in the beetroot soup. As I didn't have any I used Pernod instead which is made from star anise. Otherwise I put my pernod in a glass with a far bit of orange juice.
I think a taste for blue cheese grows with age. When I was a young 'un I couldn't stand blue cheese either.
Here's a bit of useless information - there was a program on telly (Channel 5, I think) about the building of the Millau bridge. Apparently, and you'll have to believe Channel 5 on this, but they had to take the unique geology of the area into account when building the bridge because Roquefort cheese gets its unique flavour from the bacteria in the rocks of the caves in that area, which doesn't occur anywhere else. Well, I'm sad enough to find it fascinating.
Don't forget that Roquefort is a cheese made from sheep milk.
Tasty.
I'm just off for a beetroot and cheese sarnie as all this talk has got my tastebuds going. I think I'll have Shropshire blue. Mmmmmm (and Heinz salad cream).

I wonder if we could get 'gig-cheese' into the Viz Profanisaurus? It certainly sounds like it should be in there, we just need a suitably obscene definition...

In that case, I'd just like to say I already have 5 Pendragon CDs. As much as I love Nick's guitar playing, I really don't want to kiss him. No offence Rach. Edited by chopper - October 08 2008 at 17:23 |

It's bed time for me, and I haven't been able to visit the shed tonight. Had to eat table (and well) prepared Chinese and Japanese food with my former collegues at a belated farewell party. It was fun and we had beer, so no complaints.
Also noticed that I'm still the #1 bidder for both the 4 and 6 string bass. Luckily someone outbid me on another, far uglier, 6 string. My wife would kill me if I bought three at the same time.... |

I meant to ask if any of you boys have Martin Orford's new solo album? There is a fab little song called "Grand Designs" that is all about SHEDS!!!!
It's brilliant, it's all about well, sheds and shed dwellers, and has a FABULOUS shed picture accompanying it! well, there you go then a shed anthem by Mr Orford. :-) R x |

So by definition you're referring to me as a young'un? That's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me... [edit] Correction - the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me was 15 years ago today, when Vicky said "I do" Edited by Jim Garten - October 09 2008 at 03:52 |

Congrats guys, I know you pretend to be all cool and stuff, but we all know you're as soppy as a pair of springtime fluffy bunnies, well done for still being lovely and strong after 15 years and long may it continue! R x |
