You're just close-minded. The lack of emotion makes me cry every single time. Fail.

It's not cold and calculated enough to do that. Besides, he plays in tune for at least 4 minutes of that.

But that's just because his tuning moves in a full circle.

So RIO.

Yeah, but IN TUNE? And I swear there were hints of melody around the 11.23.3-5 mark.

Waiting for money!
Don't know when my refund will hit the account. I just know it's between now and Midsummer's Eve.

It'll be about £340. So then it's time for a spree.

Comes in handy for the summer. More time on my hands, not much going on in Uppsala and a bunch of records = a lot of PA time.

I don't either. Oh, he's important to the development of the post-Zeuhl style of bass cat, as well as being a very talented goat-player. He was responsible (though largely uncredited) for Alamaailman Vasarat's masterpiece, though their label forced them to release it with a false band name and with a few more commercial tracks.

LOLClap You guys are cracking me up here.

I think I've found a rival for Close to the Edge in the "under 20 minute prog epic" category.  Banco - Il Giardino del Mago.  Each member performs beautifully throughout, and that section!...if you've heard it you know what I mean...Francesco has to be one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time.  When I think about all the positive expectations I had for Italian music, the second half of IGdM steps up to those expectations, it's like the "textbook" RPI epic.  The thing that is most interesting, which I may explore further if I get around to reviewing Banco's albums, is the dominance of classical music in their influences (I know very very little here...but I want to say the Romantics?) over the secondary influence of other prog and rock bands of the time.  So even though it was '72, this was highly original in a rock and pop music context because you hear more Vivaldi than Beatles and Genesis.

I just picked up Il Bacio Della Medusa's "Discesa Agl'inferno d'un Giovane Amante". Really good stuff. I'm also eyeing the new Le Orme "Live in Pennsylvania" set. God, I'm going so broke on this Italian Prog.

Just to inform you that this morning I finally added Tito Schipa Jr., of Orfeo 9 fame. I should remember to get the album in one of my next visits to a music store.

The bio was pieced together from several sources, including the artist's own website. I don't like copying and pasting bios from other sites, and like getting as accurate information as I can - though sometimes it is not easy to get your facts right, as in the case of album release dates.
