I'll have to hear more of Alva, but based on what I've heard his music is close to Aube and Harold Budd, he's worked on rather progressive compositions with Sakamoto who's band is included in PE, and he's worked with Ensemble Modern. I might have to make a thread tonight.

IIIII'm not really a Zappa fan at all, though I've heard his orchestral music and thought it was better than most of his stuff.
