So this place never moves except when I'm out all day? And how did Atheism get mixed in? I'm game for any talk but does that topic really need to get mixed in here? Not like there wont be 5 other threads about it anyway

And both of you missed my point.
I mourn when someone doing a service to my family dies. A homeless bum, regardless of why he is homeless, does nothing for my family.
|
And what your family does for the homeless bum?
| Nothing. Which is why I wouldn't expect him to mourn any of us if we perished.

So Rob, are you suggesting we murder all the bums? Would alleviate the problem!

Too late, Jello Biafra already sung it back in 1980.

| Why the hell would ask such a horrible thing?
Using them for spare parts makes so much more sense...

Yeah, Kill the Poor is a really great song actually! Until dictators started playing it as propaganda... And spare parts eh? Well you only need one kidney, and this right of mine keeps spittin out stones. I'll pay a bum $50 to take theirs! Capitalism at its finest

No one noticed/took seriously my idea of arming the homeless. Than we can eliminate all welfare an government involvement and leave it up to pure competition. The banks and wealthy better stockpile weapons! And think of the killing to be made by investing in gun manufacturers. Why does everyone think Im joking about this?

Vlad Tepes once invited all the poor, crippled, and homeless in his kingdom to a great feast. After a night of food and drink Vlad ordered his men to board up the doors of the hall, in which it was held, and set it aflame. No one escaped the fire.

We could use them to pull rickshaws.

You could've said, instead of a homeless bum, anything else. This also applies (I guess) if a successful business man dies. There was no need to specifically mention "homeless drunk" as it seems is the only reason you wouldn't mourn. You wouldn't mourn because that person is nothing to you. Period. The same as a cop (for me at least, unless I actually know the cop or his family. )

I missed a lot of what was said...but honestly, unless you have a VERY abnormal passion/caring for people I dont think anyone would mourn the death of someone not directly, or somehow involved with you. Not that anyone is happy about it, it is sad when anyone dies...but I wouldn't mourn the death of just any bum/cop/businessman or anyone, unless I knew them. May be way out of left field but that's my 2 cents out of what I gathered
