Iron Maiden used to go to a Pizza Hut in Harlow (the one on the trading estate, not the one in the town centre) and there were autographed pics on the walls.
Personally I preferred the lovely Essex boozer The Hop Poles, which did excellent fish and chips and where Rod Stewart used to put in the occasional appearance (though sadly never when I was there).

I don't think so - this one is at Great Halingbury near Bishops Stortford. There's a picture and some info here:

Well that is sort of close to what I generally refer to the place as... Mind you: Thumbs up for the marketing man who earned his £50k+ salary thinking up that little gem |

We used to go in Pizza Hut a fair bit till my oldest son decided he didn't like them, so now we don't. So now when we're in Hornchurch we don't go in there, we just keep going and say "we just walked Pasta Hut".Boom boom.

Nice one! Vicky and I live in a place where there is a school we have to pass, plus one at the end of the road from where our cul-de-sac opens up. As a result, if we get home for any reason between 3 & 4pm, we have to run the gauntlet past one school of 4x4 driving simpletons (not to mention the school buses), then have to wait god knows how long at the end of our road before we can even get to our cul de sac - the amount of times I've been that close to getting out of the care & stating in a clear, precise and very loud voice "DON'T MIND US - WE JUST ING LIVE HERE!!!"* Guess what time we got back from France yesterday... 3:15pm +++sigh+++ *Although I've never quite worked out how to vocalise three exclamation marks |

Yes, I 'd imagine their primary motivation for this direction change is that there isn't quite as much competition in the pasta business....
and I'm sure they'll find out at their own leisure over the next 6-9 months, exactly why there isn't quite as much competition...

There could also be the factor that pizzas are considered unhealthy fat laden wobbling-class fillers, whereas pasta has that cache of being considered healthy square jawed fitness fanatic fare...

very true, Jim...
but those types of people tend not to dine in chain 'restaurants' where they are shown pictures of what the food looks like before they order it, be advised on how many trips to the salad bar they may take and be offered family discounts on the new 'Screwdriver of Death' ride at Alton Towers...

True - they'd be more likely to watch a Gillian McKeith programme to see what the food looks like after... |

Ah, but you can have 4 bits of garlic bread, an extra large pizza and a bucket of ice cream but as long as you have some salad and/or pasta with it, then it's healthy, see?
I love the people who go to the salad bar and really pile the bowls up. I think the best technique is to arrange cucumber slices round the edge of the bowl, then you can stack it really high.

I tend to find that Pizza's have a negative affect on my body tone. I'd much rather have a mighty kebab to ensure the roundness of my belly is maintained!
