Newcomer Ommadawn attempts to show his stuff with the halberd, but Talybont effortlessly parries and counterstrikes; however he only pokes at Ommadawn's chain mail twice. Ommadawn slams the shaft of his weapon against the bridge of Talybont's nose, drawing blood. Despite the blow to the face, Talybont is able to successfully strike twice, but is unable to pierce Ommadawn's armor. Ommadawn strikes again but appears to be having the same problem. Finally, Talybont cuts his foe- not just once, but twice. Then he slices Ommadawn directly down the face just before slamming the hilt of Weidorje into the fresh wound. Ommadawn waves his halberd fruitlessly, as he is blinded by his own bodily fluids. As he does so, Talybont drives one of his knives into Ommadawn's armpit, and blood shoots upward like a crimson spire. In a blind strike, Ommadawn hits Talybont square in the chest. The match is now extremely close. Wiping the blood from his eyes, Ommadawn blocks Talybont's last swipe and slices deeply into his leg, hitting bone. He turns his halberd and carves out a hunk of meat. Ommadawn raises his arms in triumph as Talybont goes into shock and perishes.
