I find no merit in the Wall, but in the end of course it's just personal taste.

I personally only can listen to the second disc, but I still think it is a very well made album.

I won't say it's not well-made, I just think it's essentially a Roger Waters solo album (though... not near as much as the Final Cut, which I don't like even more).

The only Pink Floyd album I really enjoy is Animals. Meddle is great too.

I still enjoy early Floyd a lot; specifically Saucerful to Meddle. I like Dark Side too, but for some reason now it reminds me of Radiohead (or the other way around). I used to listen to DSOTM when I had a migraine. It helped too.

I also find "The Dark Side of the Moon" to be slightly overrated.  Still a very good rock album, however, re-listening to it I don't find it very progressive any more.

Dark Side is a good album, I like their earlier stuff more lately though.

Trust me.  When The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon were released they were very progressive for their time.  There was very little or anything like these at their time.  Sure they've been copied and expanded upon a million times since then but at the time...

If it makes you feel any better, I consider "Wish You Were Here" and "Animals" to be masterpieces and very Proggy too.

It's definitely progressive, you can't deny that. I just don't care to listen to it that often anymore.

Plus, no other album but Dark Side of the Moon syncs up with Wizard of Oz.

DSotM+Wizard of Oz is another thing you need to see (if only once, after that it's up to you).  It's interesting and some of the syncs are really creepily perfect.

I watched the whole thing once, the second time I got to "Run Like Hell", but at the time I found it too depressing to continue watching.LOL  Someday I will try to get the sound from the DVD and listen to that, I much prefer it to the album.

Yes, and released by Alan Parker, that's important to mention. Great movie. Great.

I'm not familiar with Alan Parker.  Why is he important to mention?

Because of classic movies like Midnight Express (1978) or Mississipi Burning (1988).
Not my favourite director, but an important one Smile

As far as I'm concerned, the only Wall disaster is Waters' Berlin concert in 1990.

Ah, but they're not the priority if you haven't seen Lars Von Trier's Dogville. That is the next movie you watch. Tongue

I believe that I've seen Mississippi Burning; not certain about Midnight Express.  I was looking at his other movies on IMDB, and I think that I've seen Fame (not really my kind of movie) and Shoot The Moon (don't really remember but it sounds familiar), and Birdy.
