Holy crap. Yumyum Tree surpasses my expectations! w00t!

The trouble is what do I rate it on Progfreak? It means I have 4 albums above the 9.5 mark. This will definitely be the best year for music this decade.
Nah, can't beat 2005.

2005 was pretty good, but it's 3rd for me.

2007 will most likely be 2nd, since 2009 is kicking ass.
2007 was ok, though I hadn't heard the three best albums yet when it ended. The National's Boxer, Band of Horses' Cease to Begin and Scandinavian Music Group's Missä olet Laila? that is. It wasn't so much a prog year for me, even though the much anticipated Circusfolk debut album came and was great. This year's top three so far: Crack the Skye, The Hazards of Love and The Empyrean

It had Rush, DT, PT, Radiohead, and a bunch of others---so I was happy.

I haven't really been too impressed by the Hazards of Love.

Yes. I'll definitely have to hear it more. I gave it a 9.6 on progfreak for now; I think that's a pretty good starting place. It can always go up. Clap

I especially can't wait for Riverside's and dredg's new albums due next month. As well as Magma's and Wintersun's new discs later this year. Approve

I'll believe there's a new Magma CD when I'm actually holding it in my hand.  Wink

True. This has happened before when it was rumored to come out but never did. Still, 2009 will be freaking awesome even without it.

I feel like suggesting 10 or 20 new bands to the PMT just for harry. Bands that obviously don't fit, but I'd be so very serious.

I do honestly think it would be nice to have Nick Cave on the Prog Folk list, though. He said Mr. Motherf**ker, you know who I am, and the bartender said No, and I don't give a good god damn, to Stagger

Same thing with the new Wintersun, was supposed to come out like 3 years ago, but keeps getting pushed back. I think this year is the year though, I can feel it. I'm going to throw a fit if they push it back again. Angry

I would like to coin the term Mammill

For when stuff sounds like Magma and Peter Hammill.
