Felt a little sorry for Matt Ryan today.

This is a lie.  I really enjoyed his 29% QB rating today.  Don't think he even completed a pass in the first half.  Bucs defense were calling out all their offensive plays, guess Dunn helped with that...

^ Is this even more proof to the complete and total suckiness of the Lions.  In week one, Matt Ryan looked like he was well on his way to wearing his yellow Hall of Fame jacket.  In week two, quite frankly, he looked like a typical Lions quarterback.

I think that good old Kitna threw more touchdown passes to the Packers then he did to his own receivers.  I have to give the Lions some credit for spotting the Packers 21 points before coming back to take the lead 25 to 24 with 6 minutes left in the game. Of course losing 48 - 25 by giving up 24 points in the final 6 minutes pretty much takes away any credit they may have earned.  Next week the Lions go for 0-3 on the road in San Francisco.  They should be able to compete with the 49ers, but the Lions win road games on the West Coast less often than the Big Ten.  Can anyone say USC 35 Ohio State 3?

Yea, into the 2nd quarter Ryan was 0-9 with 2 INT's
But hey, no biggie he's a rookie QB. That first game was really a fluke, who thought his season would continue that way?
But yea, what a rough game. Welcome to the NFL Matt

The Lions are really good at making rookies look like superstars.  I want to say that Matt Leinart started his rookie season 0 and 7 before they played the Lions and they had their first win.  I think he beat the Lions the following year too.  Probably the 2 best games of his NFL career.  Not to mention that Aaron Rodgers looked like he is going to be just fine as Favre's replacement (which he might just be, but playing the Lions has definitely got to be a confidence booster).

This is going to be a long season again.  On more positive note I think Jamarcus Russell will be a good to great QB one day and I love Darren McFadden. They just need a couple good lineman and one wide out. The defense in another story.  AL Davis spent a lot of money on Corner Back Deangelo Hall and what did he get his first game?  Two personal fouls, a pass interference and two TDs on him. The Raiders had no pass rush and did the linebackers even show up?  The only guy on defense that did anything was Nnamdi Asomugha. I am hoping it was just because they have so many new players on that side of the ball that last night  was an aberration but I think that is just wishful thinking.
Remember Lane Kiffin wanted to fire the defensive coordinator Rob Ryan after last season and Al Davis stopped him.  Which really means no one is running this team on a daily basis and Kiffin is nothing but an overglorified offensive coordinator.  Until AL passes on I think I better get used to this. Ouch

Any question who the worst team in the AFC West (or NFL, for that matter) is now? Good gravy, what a train wreck.

E

Well I guess it answers this question what is worse multiple QB's or mulitple head coaches. Wink

What a slugfest last night but my Cowboys came through in the end.  The Eagles have nothing to hang their heads about, though.  That game showed what the NFC East will be like for the entire season.

Man, what a bonehead move by Deshawn Jackson. I thought it looked funny on live TV. This is the same guy who swan dives from the 5 on a breakaway and loses the ball at the 1. Moron.

Detroit, MI.  It is easy enough to get the MI confused for Missouri, although it stands for Michigan. Wink  The Lions might as well get lumped in with the Missouri teams when it comes to suckiness.

A classic shootout, clearly the Eagles don't have much to worry about on offense, but the defense is going to have a lot to work on over the course of the year.  McNabb lost the game for them with some utter stupidity at the end, but in fairness when you score 37 points you should be winning the game.

Love to see Desean Jackson benched for the next game but with the top two WR out I doubt it.

Pat, I haven't based my Sunday around a Chiefs game for a very long time. If we're home and have some time, then I'll flip 'er on. Maybe I did when Trent Green was commanding an offense that was fun to watch, but the heart has been broken way too often.

Now, those two teams who were going at it last night impressed the hell out of me. Chiefs are nowhere near that.

Lions just have bad ownership and Matt Millen really should go... They have a great amount of talent, but have no sense of how to win it seems...

Some thoughts from here on the other side of the pond. How about my team, the good ol' Packers, 2-0!  I know we've not really played anybody yet, but hey, I'm enjoying it so far!  2 games against the Bears to come, please 2 wins from those I ask.

I would never have believed the Chargers would be 0-2, they were my tip for the SB. I know it's early days but come on guys.  Patriots as efficient as ever, Brady or no Brady. Surely the team to beat.  Cowboys? Possibly.  Dolphins shocking, Detroit Lilos shocking, Rams shocking too. Good start by the Bills though. Not seen anything of them but 2 good wins, how are they looking guys?
