That doesn't seem unreasonable in that case, when the the fact that it's a live recording is almost a side note.

I think live albums should be reconsidered. For instance The Allman Brother's Live at the Fillmore East and Deep Purple's Made in Japan are not just great live albums, and important historically, they presented the bands in such an unbelievably positive way that one could make the case that if you only needed one album from a band, these would be it. I could not make the same statement for Yessongs, Seconds Out, Bursting Out, or Welcome Back My Friends....

Cheers everyone. On the one hand I can't just put off the deadline forever, but on the other hand there's a few more people who I know are working on lists, and I myself intend on adding more to my list (leading by example, yada yada) and haven't quite gotten there because I've been in a busy period for gigs, and so it'd be kind of hypocritical of me to demand everyone else get it done now when I haven't done more either. So we'll say the final, final deadline is to get it before this Monday the 25th.

For #125 you just listed The Beach Boys without an album, could you clarify? (Unless you mean the 80s self-titled album...)

On the one hand, it's pretty late in the game to be backtracking on things like that, and it may annoy posters who have submitted lists sans live albums. On the other hand, you haven't submitted a list yet, and if the inclusion of live albums could make that happen, well...

I've edited my list - sorry for the delay KazzaEmbarrassed

Oh and since we're mentioning live albums, here are some that would've made my list:

SBB - Karlstad
Allman Bros - Fillmore
The Who - Leeds
Band of Gypsys - s/t
Magma - Live Hhaï
Rolling Stones - Get Yer Ya Ya's Out
Grobschnitt - Solar Music Live
Santana - Lotus
Porcupine Tree - Coma Divine
Grateful Dead - Dick's Picks
James Brown - Apollo
Lou Reed - Rock n Roll Animal

All these contain the very best music the respective artist(s) ever did imho.

Is it too late to make edits to already posted lists? Because I'm thinking I may switch some of the orders around for mine.
when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents

Nope, feel free to make edits until the deadline (especially if you mention that you're doing so).

I made a list now that I'm on holidays. Will make some final changes and post it in the next couple of days.
I shook my head and smiled a whisper knowing all about the place

Hah, is there something in the air today? All edits taken care of.

To be clearer on the deadline (since I'm in Australia and finishing it by the 25th is less than 12 hours away here), I'll wait for the world to catch up to us and close it off according to California time or thereabouts.

I hate myself. I just updated it and it still feels wrong. I think I have a problem. That's ok. Me and zrav will chill in asylum together.
